St. Francis Xavier Families,
I hope this week was blessed! TGIF!
I wanted to briefly explain our fundraising needs and goals. New and old families, please read carefully even though NOTHING has changed for this year, but I want to be super clear as to how we are currently operating.
If you were to add up the amount of money in our operating budget that is EXPECTED to be fundraised, we rely on roughly $150,000 to continue the great work we are about here.
Only a portion of this $150,000 is funded through the $350 Family Fundraising Obligation. There are certain specific fundraisers that attach to this obligation, to help you meet your amount. These include: Believe Fundraising (catalogs), Grocery Program, Otis Spunkmeyer, Shop with Script, Boosterthon, and World's Finest Chocolates.
In ADDITION to participation in the fundraisers that contribute toward your FFO obligations, our Student Events Committee (SEC) is asked to help us raise an additional $35,000 of our operating budget. Your participation in their school events makes reaching that goal possible. With that being said, in the coming weeks we are going to begin some of our SEC events/fundraisers for the year and would love to see an increase in family participation in the work they put into creating special school community programming/events.
Finally, the rest of the money (after FFO and SEC) to meet our $150,000 goal comes from your generosity over and above your obligation and relies on our ability to network and identify generous community supporters of our school who could contribute to our larger events and needs.
We have some larger projects that are on the horizon as a part of a strategic plan for our facility such as updating/replacing the gym floor, purchasing a new reading program, new exterior doors, additional Chromebooks, and more. These goals are above and beyond the operating costs.
We are a strong school and we want to continue to maintain our strong reputation, but we need your help! Thank you, in advance, for your participation and for sharing our story with anyone who may be willing to consider supporting our mission and needs.
