"If you have been paying attention to national news and trends, you know that Florida continues to grow and expand, and as a State we are doing very well when it comes to new jobs and unemployment. According to the Florida Scorecard, our State currently has 509,987 open jobs and only 339,000 unemployed persons. Also, Florida is ahead of New York and California for new business openings. As we get ready for the summer tourist season and all the extra people and traffic that it will bring, we can at least be thankful for all the out of towners pumping more money into our local economy and helping our businesses continue to grow and thrive."
