Destin Residents' Beach Survey
The Haas Center at the University of West Florida is conducting a resident survey on public beach access and the impact of tourism in our community. Destin-Fort Walton Beach Innovation Sessions

This time last year Destin-Fort Walton Beach Tourism and the Tourist Development Council launched an aggressive research program starting with local perception and opinions about the destination. Ten primary studies followed including almost 2500 participants – all conducted with travelers AND local residents.
 
Leadership could not have done this without you. Please join us for a recap of the findings and an overview of where the destination is going. Participate in a first-of-its-kind County innovation session and help us shape the future of our home.
 
School Cents Make Sense - Meetings at Destin Elementary & Middle Schools
Join the conversation on the proposed half cent sales tax at Destin Elementary School on Feb. 27, and Destin Middle School on March 3, to learn what infrastructure improvements are needed in our local schools. Mayor To Deliver State of the City
Mayor Gary Jarvis will deliver the annual State of the City address and highlight the City of Destin’s accomplishments and strategic plan on Tuesday, Feb. 18. Mayor Jarvis’ address will take place during the City Council meeting being held at the City Hall Annex located at 4100 Indian Bayou Trail at 6 p.m. 
City of Destin to Host Destin Community Events Center Workshop
The Destin City Council will host a workshop to discuss the proposed Destin Community Events Center on Monday, Feb. 24, at 6 p.m. The workshop will take place at the Destin City Hall Annex Council Chambers, located at 4100 Indian Bayou Trail. For any questions please call (850) 837-4242.
Harbor Capacity Study Steering Committee
The City of Destin is now accepting applications for appointment to the Harbor Capacity Study Steering Committee. Application forms and the mission statement for this committee are available here . The application deadline is Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020, at 5 p.m. 
City of Destin to Host Second Livery Vessel Meeting
The City of Destin Code Compliance Department and Community Development Office will host a follow-up meeting regarding livery vessels on Friday, Feb. 28, from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the Destin City Hall Annex, located at 4100 Indian Bayou Trail. Code Compliance Manager Joey Forgione, along with his staff, will give an update on new processes, potential ordinance changes that will affect vendor applications and provide an opportunity for questions and answers. More than one councilmember may be in attendance.
