Making the Case to Attend: Justification Letter

We know that attending a conference often requires more than simply wanting to go—you may need to demonstrate the value to your supervisor or institution. EnglishUSA has created a Conference Justification Letter that you can customize and share with your decision-maker.

NAFSA Annual Elections

EnglishUSA is so proud of former Board member Daryl Bish, who is on the NAFSA Annual Election ballot this year for Chair-Elect! Don't forget to vote by 10/31!

Special Offer from TESOL

Through our partnership with TESOL International Association (thank you TESOL!), we’re pleased to share a special opportunity to support professional learning at your institution.

The TESOL 2026 Virtual Convention, taking place 20–21 November, brings English language teaching (ELT) professionals from around the world together for two dynamic days of online learning and connection.

To help more professionals at your institution participate, your institution can receive 20% off Virtual Convention registrations purchased by 31 October with code 2026VCC.

At the Virtual Convention, ELT professionals will:

  • Gain practical strategies, best practices, and tools they can apply in their work.
  • Learn from diverse perspectives and connect with ELT professionals from around the world.
  • Stay current on emerging research, trends, and issues shaping the field.
  • Return to their work with new ideas and inspiration to better support multilingual learners.

We encourage you to share this opportunity with colleagues at your institution who would benefit from networking and learning with the global ELT community.

If you have any questions, please contact TESOL at learn@tesol.org.

Have an idea for a Community Conversation? We’re always looking for member-driven topics for ELP Shop Talk, Peer Perspectives, and The Water Cooler. Suggest a topic and a few discussion questions, and EnglishUSA will handle the Zoom, registration, and logistics.
