I pulled over on my daily drive around Bonney Lake to snap a picture of
Lake Tapps and Mount Rainier. This view never gets old.
Dining in Bonney Lake
The wonderful people at Lamppost Coffee Roasters and over 50 other Bonney Lake restaurants are open for takeout and/or delivery. With gorgeous weather and Mother's Day this weekend, consider ordering from a local restaurant and enjoying a picnic outdoors. City operations during 'Stay Home, Stay Healthy' order
City buildings may be closed to public access during the 'Stay Home, Stay Healthy' order, but city staff are still hard at work navigating a temporary way of operating. With the Governor's Phase 1 Construction Restart underway, the city's building inspector is shown here (left) out in the field meeting with a contractor.

Today, Gov. Inslee released additional guidance for businesses and services under Safe Start Phase 1, including the ability for retails outlets to provide curbside service, pet walking, and landscaping. For specifics, including an overview of the four phases, visit www.coronavirus.wa.gov .

As a reminder, many of our services are available online and city staff can be reached by email and phone. For details, visit www.cobl.us/coronavirus .
Building Safety Month
May is Building Safety Month, an international celebration of all aspects of building safety that helps us all appreciate the best practices that keep the places we work, live, and play safe. The City of Bonney Lake is joining municipalities around the world to raise awareness about building safety issues. Building safety includes efforts to increase building sustainability, protect our drinking water, address structure resilience to natural disasters and keep our community safe from substandard building practices.

Building codes adopted and enforced by the City of Bonney Lake are the best way to protect your homes, offices, schools, stores and places of entertainment. To learn more about Building Safety Month stay tuned to the city’s Facebook page and website.
Cold Water Safety
It may be over 80 degrees this weekend, but the water is COLD! Many drowning victims die due to cold-water shock, which causes an involuntarily gasp for air underwater or as water hit a person’s face. Project yourself— wear a life jacket! To learn more, visit www.wearitwashington.org .
WOW...Our community GAVE BIG!
The Bonney Lake Food Bank's fundraising goal was $25,000 and because of your generosity raised $34,860 during this year's giveBig WA campaign. THANK YOU for supporting our community food bank and making it possible for them to continue to deliver nutritious food to our neighbors in need.
Thank you Toysmith for giving out thousands of birdhouses to paint, handprint art kits, and bubbles to kids in Bonney Lake and Sumner! What a beautiful day to spread joy.

We'd love to see your completed projects! Share pictures on the city's Facebook page or use the hashtag #myBonneyLake.
