Check out the spooky and creative displays starting October 14th to 31st. Judging will happen on October 20th and 21st, so if you want your scarecrow to be in the running, let the Chamber know by phone or email. Don’t miss out on the fun!

The Comfort Heritage Foundation will be having their next general meeting on Monday starting at 7:00 pm. There will be a brief business meeting followed by a presentation by Frank Kebelman, a retired veteran, on how we can take care of the cleaning and upkeep of our Treue Der Union monument. Refreshments will be served and everyone is welcome to attend.

“Work Party” - Comfort Heritage Foundation, Treue der Union, 327 High St., Comfort – email: mschultz999@gmail.com

A “work party” will be on Saturday, starting at 9:00 am at the Treue der Union monument. Frank Kebelman, a retired Veteran, who has volunteered many hours cleaning veteran’s gravestones in San Antonio and the surrounding hill country, will give a demonstration on how to clean and then those attending will clean the posts around the monument. Bring a lawn chair if desired and the cleaning supplies will be furnished.

Silver Drivers Safe Texans is a program to support traffic safety for Mature Drivers aged 55+. We will have an information session, presented by Kendall County Texas A&M Agrilife Extension, on 10/23/24 at 11:15. Then, on 10/31 we will have the second portion, CarFit, where agents will be here to help seniors adjust their cars for optimal safety.

Join us at the park with your dogs! Free entry with a donation of dog/cat food or other pet supplies. We will have a costume contest @12:30, $5/dog. Prizes given for Most Creative, Funniest, Owner/Dog Costume Duo, and Top Dog! Will also have games/freebies, agility course, K-9 demos, photo booth ($5), pup cups, and more! Participation rules: Dogs must be on a leash at all times, Bring proof of vaccinations, Pick up your dog's waste, and No Cats allowed!

4th Annual Witchy Women Ball & Fundraiser - Courtyard at The Hotel Giles, Comfort – email: sacred7sanctuary@gmail.com

This is the 4th annual fundraiser for the animals at the Sacred 7 Animal Sanctuary in Comfort, Texas. Women are invited to play with "practical magic" and network with like-minded women while raising money for abandoned, abused and orphaned animals. $122/person includes food, drink and a bag of magical items! Tickets at sacred7sanctuary.org/events
