WATCH OUT!
B
e careful! Watch out for attacks from the Devil, your great enemy. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for some victim to devour. Take a firm stand against him, and be strong in your faith.
I Peter 5:8,9 NLT
"Mom, my car is on fire!"
Seems like every time I talk with my son who's away at school there's some type of drama going on. Drama about teachers. Drama about roommates. Drama about girls. And now drama about cars. I used to
wonder why my son had so much drama in his life as a college student, but I don't wonder anymore.
For it's just the great enemy attacking. Like a roaring lion, he prowls around looking for ways to destroy my son. He knows if he can cause my son to become discouraged about the problems that keep happening in his life, that will be the prime time to devour him.
So I'm encouraging him to stand. To stand by reading his Bible. To stand by attending church. To stand by praying regularly. My son may never be able to control the attacks that occur in his life as a college student, but with prayer, the Word of God, and other believers supporting and surrounding him, he can take a firm stand against them.
When you can't protect your child, teenager or young adult from the various problems that occur as they live their daily lives, teach them how to stand against them.
Sharing the journey,
Jeaninne
Mother to Master: Father, thank you for helping me as I teach my children how to stand. Amen.
