Youth Week at Ghost Ranch June 22-27

There will be time to worship, gather in fellowship, serve in the broader community, and have fun together! Please note that the Presbytery is still finalizing the cost, but if you have youth (grades 6-graduated seniors) wanting to register, a $100 deposit will hold a spot. Registration.

Pastor to People

It has been said many times, and I think it is true: "Easter should be sung rather than spoken!" Music is the mode of Easter expression. The angelic choir sings in unison, "Hosanna in the highest! The Lord is risen! Sing with us!" Everyone in heaven and on earth should sing for joy that the crucified Jesus has become the Risen Savior!

That's why I am so excited about our Easter services. The music will be glorious. I am very grateful (as all of us are) for Nancy, Nathan, and our Chancel and Bell Choirs. as well as the Old Time Religion group. This Sunday's music will be especially glorious and uplifting. And we will be joined by several members of the New Horizons Band to enhance our praise and thanksgiving. New Horizons is the band that rehearses at our church on Tuesdays, and some of them have agreed to come and play for us at the 10am service. It should be wonderful.

So come this Sunday — either to the 7am or the 10am service — for some wonderful music that hopefully lifts your spirits and gives you resurrection hope. Sometimes the only thing that really gives us a spiritual lift is music, grand and glorious music. So this Easter let us, "Sing to the Lord a new song!"

I pray that you have a blessed Easter. He is risen! He is risen, indeed!

Prayer Concerns

Pray for someone else's child, your pastor, the military, the police officers, the firemen, the teachers, the government. There's no end to the ways that you can intervene on behalf of others through prayer. ~Monica Johnson
