Presbyterian Women (PW) Annual Thank Offering November, 2024
“You will be enriched in every way for your great generosity, which will produce thanksgiving to God through us; for the giving of this ministry not only supplies the needs of the saints but also overflows with many Thanksgivings to God.” 2 Corinthians 9:11-12.
Who are the Presbyterian Women: Everything we do as an organization and as a community is guided by our PW Purpose: nurturing our faith, supporting the mission worldwide, working for justice and peace, and building an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.
The Thank Offering is one of Presbyterian Women’s two annual offerings (other is the Birthday Offering) that gives women a tangible way to express their gratitude for the special blessings in their lives. It is received every fall. Your gift to the Thank Offering helps fund real solutions in the areas of health, education, economic development and the needs of women and children. Thank Offering grants range from $5,000 to $50,000. At least 40% of the Offering funds health ministries.
Please stop by our Thank Offering display to the left as you enter the double doors, where you will find additional information and envelopes. Donations to the Thank Offering will be accepted through Dec 1, 2024.
On behalf of our Presbyterian Women of this congregation, we appreciate your support through prayer, Bible study and contributions. We meet once a month, on second Tuesdays, 10-11:30 for business, fellowship and Bible study.

(The Last) Parking Lot Update
The contractor finished paving Tuesday. The striping was done today. The lot is 99% complete (all that remains is to stencil "For Compact Cars Only' on the smaller spaces set aside for them). We have an all-new surface, no loose gravel getting inside open-toed shoes, and no more aging asphalt peaks and valleys to watch for. Thank you, everyone, for your support for the Capital Campaign, and the PMT for their dedication and guidance.

Pastor to People
This Sunday, Nov 3, we will commemorate All Saints' Day. That means we will give thanks for the Communion of Saints, that great cloud of witnesses that join us whenever we gather to thank God for our blessings. The church has always understood that when we worship we are in spiritual fellowship with the saints in glory as well as the heavenly hosts that surround the throne of God. So our worship brings together the angelic choir that sings forever, "holy, holy, holy", the great cloud of witnesses from every tribe and generation (the Church Triumphant), and we the living (the Church Militant).
It is an amazing thought that we are not alone in our worship of God. All of God's people include those who have gone before us. That is why we will read the names of sisters and brothers who have joined the Church Triumphant this Sunday. We will remember them and give thanks for their lives and their witness. And how much they still mean to us all. Sunday
I will share with you three people who have joined the Church Triumphant who still make a deep impact upon my life.
I hope you will come to worship remembering people who have impacted your life and faith. We will gather to give thanks for them and give thanks to God for the gift of life.
See you in worship this Sunday, God willing.
Peace and hope, Frank

Prayer Concerns
I have always been a firm believer in God and the power of prayer, though to be honest, my faith has made for a list of questions I definitely want answered after I'm gone. -- Nicholas Sparks
