Dear RRPC,

Oh my, what a wonderful send-off! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your gracious farewell luncheon this past Sunday. Thank you to the Underwoods and all the helpers who made it possible.  And thank you for the very lovely cards and sentiments expressed! And your huge generosity! My goodness! My cup is overflowing. All I can say is thanks be to God for all of you. My wife Sharon and I felt such love from you all and for that we are very, very grateful.

In this, my last, Pastor to People to you, I also want to express my gratitude to the wonderful staff in your congregation. Not all of you have met Alicia who is our bookkeeper who works on Sunday mornings after our worship service. Most of you have met Kathy and Melina who work in our kitchen and child care. And of course, all of you know Nathan and Nancy who lead our music ministry. Last, but certainly not least, is Ginny, our office manager deluxe! These six lovely people are a joy to work with and they serve you so well. It has been a privilege to work on the same staff with them. To all of them, I say, "Thank you very much for your service."

So I leave you with a full heart and very fond memories. Now look forward in hope to the "Second Coming" of Rev. Dr. Huggins, the Deborah version! She will be a huge blessing to your community. And for her, I am deeply grateful as well.

Feed My Sheep

Jesus told Peter to “Feed my sheep” when Peter assured Jesus that he did indeed love him, despite denying him three times. We, too, as followers of Jesus, are commanded to feed his sheep.

We will have the opportunity to do so on Sunday, August 30, for the two cents-a-meal offering. This offering is given to Storehouse West where the client list has grown considerably during recent months.

We participate in this offering because we are blessed and want to share our blessings. Please give as you are able.

The Mission Committee thanks you for your gifts.

The graph below shows how we are doing financially for 2026 year-to-date. Thank you for being mindful of your tithes and offerings.

The per-Capita fee for each member is $37.00. This is like paying dues to be part of the PCUSA organization and is what we pay per year per member here at Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church. By remitting this, you save us this added expense on our bottom line and we are truly appreciative!

Every Monday and Tuesday, starting Tuesday, September 8th, join Pastor Deborah in her office for coffee or tea. She would love to meet everyone in the church, and for those who work or are unavailable during the day, pop in for a morning drink get-together before work! Suggested time is 8am, but feel free to change to 7am or 7:30am to adjust to your schedule.
