Pastor-to-People

World Communion Sunday was a wonderful experience. So good to welcome our siblings in Christ from Jemez Springs, Cuba and Las Placitas. So glad their pastors could participate with us in the leadership of worship and so good to see so many of their members here. Really appreciate the music leadership of Nancy and Nathan and the choir to bring us such glorious anthems and service music.

And of course the luncheon afterwards was a big hit. A huge thank you to Shirley and Don Underwood and their helpers for putting together the food for everyone. It was a joint effort and really turned out well.

I am so glad these four congregations have such a nice relationship and a long history of worshiping together the first Sunday in October. Next year Las Placitas has offered to host the four congregations for worship. That will be wonderful I am sure.

Thank you to everyone for being flexible about our 10:30 start time. That gave our siblings in Christ time to get here. And they really appreciated everything about the service. I received many thank you notes.

Special thanks to Elder Stephen Rhoads for preaching. He has been an excellent Stated Clerk of our Presbytery for nine years. I am chair of the Presbytery Personnel Committee and we will be introducing his replacement at our October 18 meeting at Ghost Ranch.

Finally, a big thanks to all of you for this marvelous year of serving you as interim pastor.

I have truly enjoyed getting to know all of you. Thanks for the memories!

Peace and hope,

Frank
