Church Finance Town Hall Meetings

Please join us for one of the two town hall meetings in which members of the session and staff will be happy to go through the full financial picture of the church in detail with anyone who desires to attend. Both will be nearly identical in content, so please choose whichever time is most convenient for you:

- Sunday, February 23, at 12:30 p.m., Moses Waddel Room

- Wednesday, February 26, at 5:30 p.m., Moses Waddel Room

Food Sunday

March 2

You may bring donations of Cold Breakfast Cereal, Pork n’ Beans, and Saltine Crackers to church next Sunday, March 2. You may also bring food to church office until Friday, February 28. Thanks for your donations in February - our neighbors in need are grateful!

Ash Wednesday Pancake Supper & Services

March 5

Join us for a traditional service including the imposition of ashes at 12:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. We will gather at 5:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall for a special pancake supper and LIFT program beforehand. 

Please RSVP for supper in the Atrium, online, or by contacting the church office (call 706-543-4338 or email frontdesk@firstpresathens.org) by Monday, March 3, at noon. The 6:30 p.m. service will be livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube.

We need a few pancake-flippers to help prepare our supper! Please email Whitney (whitney@firstpresathens.org) to volunteer.

Red Cross Blood Drive

Sunday, March 9, 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Please join us in the Fellowship Hall and help save a life! Reserve an appointment at redcrossblood.org (sponsor code AFPC), or contact the church office. If you cannot give blood but would like to help check-in donors, please contact Joe Neighbors to volunteer (jbneighb@bellsouth.net).

Dot's Closet

Dear friends, we are in need of the following items for Dot’s Closet: lightweight wheelchairs, rollator walkers, shower chairs. Please bring them to church office during business hours (Mon-Thu 8:30-4:30 p.m.; Fri 8:30-2:00 p.m.). Handbell Choir

The First Presbyterian Church Handbell Choir currently has openings for ringers. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings, 5:30-6:30 p.m. For more information, please contact Dr. John Coble, Director of Music and Organist, at jcoble@firstpresathens.org.
