Called as Partners in Christ Service

On June 2, 9, 16, and 23, please plan to join us in Moses Waddel Room from 11:15-12:00 for a special Sunday School series that highlights some outreach organizations and ministries in connection with FPC. We will hear stories from leaders and volunteers, learn about the needs of our neighbors near and far, and discover opportunities for engagement with the important work of these groups. On June 2, we will hear about ESP and Project Safe. Next week, we will hear about Our Daily Bread and Bethlehem Ministry.

Food Sunday, June 2

You may bring donations of hamburger helper, spaghetti sauces, salty snack foods to church on Sunday, June 2. You may also bring items to the church office until Friday, May 31. Our neighbors in need are very grateful for your donations! Many thanks for your thoughtfulness and generosity!

Summer Choir

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to the sing in the choir, but have never done so, this may be a chance to give choir a “test drive.” If you would like to sing but can’t make the commitment to Wednesday night rehearsals during the regular season, this is the time to join the choir. Through August 18, we will meet in the choir room at 9:15 a.m. on Sundays to rehearse music for that morning’s service. Singers may join for any single Sunday or for as many as they wish, even for the whole summer. There is no obligation, but we do hope some will decide they enjoy singing in the choir enough to continue in the fall. Although this choir is made up mostly of adults, youth and children are also welcome. For more information, contact John Coble at jcoble@firstpresathens.org.
