As a child, I always enjoyed numbers. Math was a favorite subject, perhaps because it offered exact answers in a world of much ambiguity, perhaps because it was neat and tidy when so much of life was the opposite. I particularly loved geometry and writing proofs, making connections between seemingly disparate pieces of information that allowed one to “solve” a problem. If only life worked that way!
Statistics class upended my understanding of the neat and tidy world of numbers. I learned that numbers can tell many stories. My independent research on rivers and streams helped confirm the need to look deeper at what the numbers are saying. Click to read more.

Here are the candidates for All Saints' 2025 Vestry. We will be voting to elect these nominees at Sunday's Annual Meeting. | |
Kaleb Davis – 2-year term
I moved to Concord, North Carolina in the fall of 2010, and started attending All Saints’ in the spring of 2011. I was baptized on April 29, 2012. As a small child I experienced many of the different ministries throughout All Saints’ since I attended the meetings or gatherings with my mother. I even learned the process of opening and closing the church while she served on the Vestry. As a child, I was invited to take part in a job interview for an Assistant Rector by Reverend Nancy. As she pointed out at the time, we want this role to be strong with youth leadership, so we need to see how the person interacts with a child.
I have been involved in the following groups at All Saints’; EYC, Sunday School, and Tour de Saints (both the painting of the roads along with volunteering on the day of the race). I am currently a Sophomore at Cannon School. My favorite subjects in school are both history and math. I am involved in the Cannon Theatre Company performing in both the plays and musicals the cast performs.
I would like to serve on the Vestry because I grew up in the church, feeling very involved, and I want to understand more greatly how the church works and runs. Seeing how everything is done when you are six compared to sixteen is a large difference. As a youth, I may bring different perspectives perhaps than other generations and I feel it is good to both learn and share different viewpoints. I believe I bring a sense of curiosity, recognizing that some people serving already have a very deep understanding of the inner workings of the church, but that there are others like myself who are hoping to gain a deeper understanding.

Kathy Thompson – 3-year term
Kathy and Bob have been married 56 years and have two married sons and two granddaughters in college. Our first experience at All Saints was being welcomed warmly by Marie Shipley and Alice Smith among others. A friend in Concord had told us that “All Saints is doing what all churches should be doing in this community.” Attending the 11:10 service is the linchpin of our week, and we are thankful for the music program and the participation of the youth on special occasions. Participating in ministries such as Aya House, Stephen Ministry, Altar Guild, Bible studies and VBS add to the blessings I have found at All Saints'. I don’t know where our focus should be in the future, but if past is prologue I believe that the discernment process will help us hear God’s call.

Julie Wagner – 3-year term
Our family came to All Saints’ in 2023 after making the difficult decision to leave a church we loved and served at for nearly 20 years. We raised our large family in our previous church and I held various ministry staff positions and we learned and grew as a family there. As Steve and I faced many changes and challenges in our large family life we grew curious of other faith traditions outside of the Baptist tradition. We longed for something that had a more inclusive theology, a circular shape rather than a pyramid and a place that was sturdy enough to make lots of space for mystery as we no longer felt so certain as we did in our 20s when we chose our previous church home. We were drawn to the liturgical style family worship at All Saints' and warm intergenerational community.
I’ve been an Educator for 25 years and currently home educate my children. I have eight children, ages 5 years old to 21 years old. My oldest graduates from UNC Charlotte this May and works as an EMT on the weekends. My twins graduate high school in May as well!

Guy Antonides – 3-year term
I am a life-long Episcopalian having churches in New Jersey and Illinois prior to moving to North Carolina. I have been married to my wife Gerri for 48 wonderful years and have two grown sons, Michael and James, and four grandkids, Addeline, Duncan, Arthur, and Jack. I am retired from sales and currently help out with the Boy Scouts and American Legion. I have many hobbies including model railroading, stamp collecting, camping, and magic. I also volunteer at the USO at Charlotte Airport.
I have been a member of two church Vestries in the past. I was a Sunday School teacher at St. John Episcopal, Naperville, Illinois for 20 years and in addition, I also served on their Outreach Board. For over 10 years I also served meals at Hesed Homeless Shelter. Since coming to All Saints’ I have volunteered to be a Sunday School teacher helping Ms. Tiffany. I have also served the Lord on a Parish Discernment Committee and participated as Magnifico on the After Dark@All Saints’ program. I hope to use my knowledge and experiences to help further the great worship opportunities at All Saints’ by assisting Rev. Nancy and the Vestry in furthering the church's business of spreading the Gospel and the Good Word of Jesus Christ.

Melissa Goodwin – 3-year term
My husband, Ken, and I moved to the area in November 2021 and started attending All Saints' in mid-2022, generally attending the 11:10 service. We love the welcome we received and have enjoyed meeting lots of parishioners. As time has passed, we have become more involved in parish life and found ways to share our time & talents. I currently serve as Chalice Bearer, Lector, Vestry member, Teller, and as a member of the After Dark@All Saints' steering committee. I have enjoyed filling in for a one-year Vestry term and look forward to serving a three-year term if elected. Ken and I have been married over 43 years and are blessed to live near our two sons, two daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren under age 6. I love to travel, enjoy new experiences and meeting new people, and like being out in nature and birdwatching.
