Collect and Readings for February 2, 2025 | The Presentation of Our Lord

Upcoming Events

The popular After Dark @ All Saints’ will be held February 6-18, and registration is now LIVE! The program offers our community the opportunity to get out of the house during the darkest part of the year to attend engaging 1-2 hour courses on a variety of subjects. Sessions include cooking with a chef, stained glass, auto maintenance, and more – all designed to feed your body, mind, and spirit. All proceeds from AD@AS support local organizations helping those in need in Cabarrus County. Sign up for classes & workshops online, in-person on Sunday mornings, or by mail. Note: many sessions have limited capacity, so don’t delay in signing up!

Learn About Feeding Our Neighbors! On Sunday, February 23 during the 10 o'clock hour join a conversation about the many ways All Saints' feeds our neighbors and how to be involved in both small and big ways. We'll cover Night Shelter, Food Drives, and the new CCM MAC ministry. Please attend if you're able. Want more details? See Gary Kovar (contact info in Realm).

Grapevine | News from the Parish

At Sunday's Annual Meeting, we elected a new vestry! Thank you to all those who have served on vestry and to those who are starting this year. The vestry will be on retreat this weekend. Please keep them in your prayers as they plan for 2025.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2025 Annual Epiphany Chili Cook-Off! We once again had record attendance and enjoyed fellowship with our friends from Grace Lutheran and Aya House. The competition was stiff this year with first and second place separated by only one vote! Congratulations to our 1st place winner Pam Collier, and our defending champion Julie Wagoner who came in 2nd!

Cooperative Christian Ministry (CCM) shared information about its November and December food drives. All Saints' tops the list! We donated 897 lbs of food during those two months. Thank you to all who donated and participated this holiday season!

We offer prayers and condolences to the family and friends of Mishew Paynter, cousin of Ragan Kearns, who entered into the Resurrection on January 11, 2025. Please keep the family in your prayers during this difficult time. Here is her obituary.

We offer prayers and condolences to the family and friends of Douglas "Doug" D. Schoonmaker, Jr, who entered into the Resurrection on January 17, 2025. Doug was a former parishioner of All Saints'. Here is his obituary.

We offer prayers and condolences to the family and friends of John Michael Gordick, brother of Bob Gordick, who entered the Resurrection on January 21. Please hold the Gordick family in your prayers.
