WHAT ARE YOU GIVING UP FOR LENT? Lent is a time for reflection about Jesus’ last days on earth and traditionally has been a time for sacrifice. A time for “giving up”something. But it can also be a time for giving.
Jesus’ last meal on earth according to the Gospel of John was breakfast on the beach with seven of his disciples. Afterwards he commanded Peter, “Feed my sheep.” We can follow Jesus’ words by helping feed our food insecure neighbors through Cooperative Christian Ministry (CCM).
The need is great. CCM’s food bank provides assistance to over a thousand families each month. Please help by bringing shelf-stable food Sunday, March 8-Sunday, March 15.

Click here to find out more. | | We offer prayers and condolences to the family and friends of Gwen King, who entered the Resurrection early this morning, February 26. Gwen King was an active and beloved member of this parish for many years. She was the mother of Beth Simpson. Once service arrangements are confirmed, details will be sent to the parish via email. We grieve with this precious family and send God's embracing love to them all. | | We offer prayers and condolences to the family and friends of Ron Sigrist, husband of Becky Sigrist, who entered the Resurrection on Friday, February 20, 2025. | | We welcome Avery Louise Realon to the All Saints’ Family, born January 17, 2026. Mom and Big Brother, Micah, are doing great. We offer congratulations and love to this precious family. | | | Beware of Gift Card Scams! Recently, a bad actor impersonating Fr. John sent fraudulent emails to several parishioners, requesting gift cards. That account has been reported to Google. Staff and clergy are never going to reach out to you asking for gift cards. Unfortunately, emails such as these pop up nearly every month. So please stay vigilant: always check the sender's email address to ensure that it ends with @allsaintsconcord.org. And in general, should you receive any email that doesn't look quite right, check the sender's email address, making sure that it makes sense or is familiar to you. And this is very important: only click links within emails (and texts, for that matter) that you truly trust. Should you receive a fraudulent email, either delete it or, better yet, send it to your junk box. | | | |
February is National Heart Health month! So many of us at All Saints' have a heart to serve God and care for others. We work tirelessly in many diverse ways to serve our church and community. That being said, we want to make sure that we are taking care of our own hearts too.
According to the American Heart Association, these are the eight essential areas we can monitor to improve our heart health:
- Nutrition and eating better
- Physical Activity (at least 75 minutes a week)
- Quitting tobacco use
- Getting enough sleep (7-9 hours a night)
- Managing weight
- Controlling Cholesterol
- Managing Blood Sugar
- Managing Blood Pressure
Please consider taking a few moments to learn more about each of these key areas by clicking here.
