Good Friday, March 29, at All Saints' | This year, you are invited to participate in a variety of Good Friday meditations. At 10:30 AM, we will offer a Stations of the Cross for Children and Families in the Parish Hall. The Solemn Liturgy will be at Noon in the Nave. The Community Stations of the Cross will begin at 3:30 PM, starting in the sanctuary of Grace Lutheran Church (58 Chestnut Dr. SW, Concord). The walk will take place in the Logan Community, with 14 station readings throughout. Then, at 7 PM at All Saints', EfM will lead a Good Friday service of "The Last Words" by Ronald D. Vaughan, a Tenebrae drama based on the seven words from the cross. All are welcome!

The Annual Good Friday Offering will be collected during services at All Saints'. As The Episcopal Church’s Good Friday Offering prepares to mark 102 years, Presiding Bishop Michael Curry invites the whole church to collective giving to support siblings in Jerusalem and the Middle East. “We will not forget those caught in the crossfire between warring factions in the land where our Lord walked,” Curry writes in his annual Lent letter. To find out more about the Good Friday Offering, click here.

You are invited to bring favorite treats to share at the Easter Revels, following the 8:30 PM Easter Vigil service on Saturday night as well as our fellowship time after the 9 AM and 11:10 AM Easter Sunday Services.

Grapevine | News from the Parish

We offer praise and thanks for the birth of Josephine Eliza Black, child of Kat and Joey Black, born on March 15, 2024. Grandparents Ragan and Sharon Kearns are delighted to welcome Josie into their growing family. We rejoice and share in their joy.

The Phillips family experienced a house fire on March 10, 2024. The family was able to evacuate in time, but the house is a near total loss. The immediate need is not for physical goods, but for prayers and support in the form of gift cards to restaurants or unspecified gift cards. Assistance can also be given via this GoFundMe fundraiser. All Saints' is responding and will continue to during the family's long process of recovering and rebuilding. When the time comes for accepting physical items (which may be some time), Fran Burkett is agreed to coordinate the ingathering.

Please note: All Saints' responds to special needs through our Assistance Fund, an auditable fund of the vestry, and we are aware of the needs of the parish. However, gifts that are directed to be given to a specific person are not considered a "donation" for tax purposes by the IRS. Donors can be assured that gifts to the Assistance Fund will be distributed to those with pressing needs.

We offer praise and thanks for the birth of Ryland Pickrell, child of Alex and Lauren Pickrell, born on March 7, 2024. Kinsley is being a great big sister! We rejoice with the family and share in their joy.

We offer condolences and prayers to the family and friends of Perry Liles Lucas, daughter of Jane Liles, who entered into the Resurrection on March 7, 2024. Here is Perry's obituary. We offer God's comfort and love to her family.
