All Saints' Rector Search has entered a new phase! After being selected and commissioned, our Rector Search Committee is now actively meeting. The next stage of the search process will involve parish participation. Next week, Canon Marion Sprott, who is shepherding All Saints' through this process, will lead congregational meetings specifically designed for you to provide valuable input. Your voice is so important we're offering two dates and times for you to choose from so that everyone can participate.
Option #1: Sunday, April 19. There will be ONE worship service at 10 AM, followed immediately by the congregational meeting at 11 AM. Nursery is provided.
Option #2: Wednesday, April 22 at 6 PM. There will be a catered dinner, followed by a congregational meeting. Food and nursery staffing need to be planned, so please register if you plan to attend this meeting date.
All parishioners are being asked to attend one of these meetings. The voices of our younger parishioners also need to be heard during this process. Please don't forget to register your middle-school and high-school aged children! Nursery will be provided for the little ones. To sign up for the option that works best for you, click here. Please note: there will only be one worship service on Sunday, April 19 at 10 AM.

Domestic violence is a major problem nationally and locally. Every 15 seconds a woman is battered in this country. Locally, Cabarrus Victims Assistance Network (CVAN) provides much-needed assistance. Last year, CVAN helped 1,744 battered women and their children. Services included 24-hour Hotline, Shelter, Court Programs, Outreach Center, among other services. Your help is needed to make a difference in our community through the CVAN “Men for Change” campaign.
This is how it works – men and men’s groups give $100 each. Anyone can give $100 in the honor or memory of a man. All men will be listed in a full-page newspaper ad in the Independent Tribune on Father’s Day, June 21.
There are brochures at the back of the church. Or you can go to www.cvan.org for more information on the “Men for Change” campaign and to pay online. You can also contact David Baxter for more information.

Many thanks to everyone who made a donation to support the upcoming Fred L. Wilson book fair! Your generous donations will allow us to donate $500 to the Spring and Fall book fairs. This will allow as many as 50 students to purchase a book that otherwise would not have that opportunity.

Update from the Rector Search Committee | The Rector Search Committee has been preparing for the upcoming congregational meetings and learning more about discernment by reading Pursuing God's Will Together: A Discernment Practice for Leadership Groups. In order to stay grounded in prayer and guided by faith, we have asked The Rev. Dr. Stephanie Nagley to act as our Chaplain. Rev. Nagley will provide us with the spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and emotional support that will be so vital during our discernment process. In Rev. Nagley's 30+ years as a priest and rector, she is drawn to the places where faith and real life meet, especially in times of change, uncertainty, and new beginnings. She cares about helping people and communities listening for God's movement, even when the way forward isn't yet clear. We welcome her prayerful presence!
As we begin to draft the Parish Profile, we look forward to gathering YOUR feedback during our upcoming congregational meetings. See the article above to sign up and attend. You can read more about All Saints' season of transition, by clicking here.
