Upcoming Opportunities

Mark your calendars for the Parish ParTay on Sunday, August 3 at 5 PM in the church pavilion. Come and enjoy fellowship, food, and fabulousness. We will have LIVE music (Thank you, Gary the Guitar Guy!), play for kids, flower arranging, and FOOD! All Saints’ will be supplying burgers, dogs, and buns! Just bring a side dish of your own choosing. This is a potluck for real! We just need a total count, so please sign up!

Center of Hope Night Shelter | The week of August 3-9, All Saints' will be serving dinner at the night shelter. We are still looking for some help on Tuesday, August 5, with sides and people to serve. Thanks to everyone that has stepped up to help!

Mothers and Children Home Dinners | On August 26, we could use 3-4 people to prepare and serve dinner to our neighbors at the CCM MAC house. Please see Gary Kovar if you're interested and able to help.

Nonperishable food – feed our neighbors! The non-perishable food we collect is delivered to our local food pantry. The food pantry serves well over 1,000 families each month. Place food in the baskets in worship spaces or the food donations bin in the Welcome Center. Questions about any of this? Find Gary Kovar in person or in Realm!

Thank you to our All Saints' parishioners who have signed up to volunteer for the Tour de Saints on August 23! Your support makes it possible! To assist with planning, please take a moment to fill out this form to confirm the area you would like to volunteer in and your t-shirt size. To keep expenses as low as possible to maximize the proceeds for outreach, the t-shirts will be available for purchase the week before the event before and after Sunday services. Haven't volunteered yet? There is still time to sign up!

Opportunity to Serve

My name is Fred Weber, and I’d like to provide some insight into our Chalice Bearer Ministry. It’s a ministry I’m quite familiar with, having been a Chalice Bearer for more than 25 years. You might wonder why I’ve kept at it for so long, especially since I never

wanted to be a Chalice Bearer in the first place. I wanted to be a lector, but at my previous church you had to do both.

In my Chalice Bearer training, I learned about the true significance of the Eucharist. Our Church believes in the doctrine of the Real Presence. That means that when an ordained priest consecrates the communion bread and wine, Jesus becomes fully present in them. It’s not just a remembrance of the last supper, nor is it a symbol of Jesus. It’s him, body, soul, spirit and divinity. When I stand at the altar holding the chalice, I’m holding Jesus, right then. When people come forward, I get to share him with my fellow believers. For me, that’s about as spiritual as it gets and a tremendous honor, especially for a lay person.

If you want to learn more about this Ministry you can contact Andrea Holdren or any of our Clergy. I’m certain that they’d be more than happy to let you know what’s involved. So please consider joining me and our other Chalice Bearers in serving. Thanks, and God bless!

We offer prayers and condolences to the family and friends of Raymond R. Moore, Jr., father of Shane Sapp-Moore, who entered the Resurrection on Friday, July 4, 2025. Shane and Brian Sapp-Moore, along with other family members, were with him when he passed. The memorial service was held earlier today at Rowan Memorial Park Mausoleum. Here is Raymond's obituary. Please keep Shane and Brian in your prayers during this difficult time. While cards and prayers are appreciated, please do not directly call or text Shane at this time.

Are you up-to-date on your Safe Church training? Anyone who is clergy, staff, vestry, who works with children and youth, Lay Eucharistic Visitors, etc. needs to complete this training every three (3) years. To check if you're current, please email Amanda Crawley, church administrator and she can assist you. Safe Church Training is done through online modules that you can finish at your own pace. Click here for details.
