Upcoming Opportunities

The American Red Cross has declared an emergency blood shortage as the blood supply fell nearly 25% in June. Blood donors are urgently needed to give now to help ensure patients receive life saving medical care without delay.

The next blood drive at All Saints' is Wednesday, August 5, from 2:30-7:00 PM. There are still 24 appointments available. Please sign up at redcrossblood.org and enter AllSaints in the Find a Blood Drive search box. If this time does not work for you, please find another drive near you.

Acolyte Training to be held Sunday, August 23 at 10 AM | Any adult or student (6th-12th grader) interested in serving as an acolyte is welcome to attend this training designed for new and experienced acolytes. We'll meet in the Nave. Questions? Contact Father John.

The excitement is building for the 14th Annual Tour de Saints charity cycling event on August 29! Are you a local small business owner (or do you know one?) One of the exciting perks of being a Tour de Saints business sponsor is having your company's logo included on the event t-shirt. But act fast! The deadline for our t-shirt vendor is August 10th. Click here for more information. Check out our sponsor board in the Welcome Center and consider patronizing the local businesses that are helping us raise funds and awareness for eight local charities.

We also welcome everyone to become a "Friend of Tour de Saints" individual sponsor. Click here to make a donation of any amount, starting at $10.

Volunteers – thank you for signing up and stay tuned for more communication from the committee. Not signed up to volunteer yet? There is still time! Visit our volunteer sign-up board in the Welcome Center.

Grapevine | News from the Parish

Thank YOU to all who are participating this week in Feeding Our Neighbors!

Non-Perishable Food | We've collected 450 pounds of food in July to provide to the CCM Food Pantry. This has been extremely helpful to families throughout the summer. The Food Bank continues to serve individuals and families throughout our community. If you are able, please consider bringing non-perishable food items. Food can be placed in the baskets in both the parish hall and nave or in the rolling bin near the men's bathroom in the welcome center.

June 2026 Finance Report | Dear People of All Saints' – Thanks to your continued financial contributions, we are in a slightly better position at this point in the year than we planned for at the outset.

We began the calendar year with a planned gap in our operating budget between expenses and expected income — income that comes primarily from the contributions of the people of All Saints'. We promised you a mid-year report on our progress, and here it is.

For the first six months of the year, contributions fell short of expenses, producing a deficit of $13,553 against a planned year-to-date deficit of $25,001. That puts us ahead of where we expected to be. However, it also tells us that we as a congregation need to close the gap in order to end the year without a shortfall.

Giving was strong as we began the year, but has declined significantly over the past two months. We continue to do well in controlling expenses. We know that contributions typically fall off as we head into summer travel, and we can expect giving to rise again in August.

We remind the Parish that the Vestry approved a financial plan for Mission and Ministry that anticipates a shortfall of $42,145 for the year, and we set several objectives for reducing that figure. While the first six months have been very acceptable, it is essential that we continue supporting the general fund. Our operations depend heavily on pledged and non-pledged contributions to close the gap between giving and the cost of mission and ministry by year's end.

Please help us accomplish that goal by bringing you Estimate of Giving/Pledge up to date, if it’s fallen behind.

Your continued and generous financial support is greatly appreciated, and is vital to the good stewardship of the Church.

Sincerely,

Vic Clark, Treasurer

Rector Search Update | The posting for All Saints' next rector is live on the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina website and can be viewed here. During the 30 days that the posting is open for applications, the Search Committee will be in prayerful preparation to begin interviewing candidates. Please pray for the priests discerning a call to ministry at All Saints', as well as our Search Committee.

If you would like to speak with a member of the Search Committee at any point in the process, look for the blue ribbons on our name badges. You are also welcome to reach out directly to our co-chairs, Randy Brantley or Joy Marie De Block. Their contact information can be found in Realm.
