Men’s Fellowship @ Camp Kirksey!

Join the men of our church for fellowship and a meal together on February 8. Supper is served at 6:00 PM but come as early as 5:30 PM to hang out around the grill. Call the church to make your reservation by noon on February 6. Donations appreciated, but not required.

MISSION BASKETS:

During the month of January, we need to restock our Mission’s Closet for our Blessing Bags. We will be collecting men’s and women’s socks, undergarments like t-shirts and boxers, fruit cups, travel size soap / shampoo / lotion/ mouthwash / deodorant/ tuna or chicken salad cracker snacks. Please place in Missions Baskets or drop off at church office.

UP CLOSE WITH THE BIKE MINISTRY:

Ministry takes many different forms. When we offer our various skills and spiritual gifts to the Lord, He will provide opportunities for our contributions to bless the lives of others. For example, Ted Gibson repairs bicycles and “fits” them to our neighbors who need transportation. As a result, individuals become more mobile and independent.

You can keep Ted “in business” by donating used adult bicycles in good condition to First Methodist Church. Ted will make the repairs and have the bike available for the next person who will benefit from the gift.

Call the church office with questions or drop off your donation during office hours. Your gifts will keep our bike ministry “rolling along.”

We will examine worship in both the Old and New Testaments and learn how Jesus is our role model for a life of worship. We will discuss spiritual formation and take a closer look at our own worship services to discover what the Holy Spirit might be doing in our liturgy. Tuesdays | 10:30 AM.
