Children & Family Message
January is the month after all the Christmas fun, but the fun doesn’t end. Sunday mornings have been busy this new year for the children. We just finished a fun-filled Pajama Day making pillowcases, singing songs, and learning new prayers. Join us on Sunday mornings and remember our Sunday Fundays are the 3rd Sunday of every month. Our next Sunday Funday is Teddy Bear Day on March 19. Save-the-Date for other upcoming Children and Family Ministries events:
PNO on Saturday, February 18 (pre-registration needed)
-
What is PNO? Parents Night Out! It’s the perfect opportunity for parents to make dinner reservations, have an evening to yourself, or gather your friends together at your house after you drop off your children at Baker Memorial UMC. You have the night and children have fun with their friends. We have an epic night planned which includes board games, Legos, crafts, party music, a G rated movie, and more. The doors will be attended during drop off and pick up, locked after all registered children have arrived, and unlocked again at 8:15pm. Parents can call Shelly at any time to be let in earlier or if running late.
-
Who should come? Any potty trained 3-year-olds through 5th grade. Any 6th-12th grader and adults who would like to be helping hands to the smaller children are welcome. Adventure awaits us and memories will be made.
-
When is this event? Saturday, February 18th from 6-8:30pm.
-
Where will the event be held? All activities will be held in the Children’s Center at Baker. The children will be eating pizza, salad, and a sweet treat in Wiley Hall. Please feel free to send your child(ren) with their dinner, if there are dietary or allergy concerns.
-
Why should I drop off my children? This is your opportunity for a fun night while you children have fun in a safe sanctuary setting.
