Lisa Ling to Join Mental Health Matters Day
Emmy Award-Winning Journalist Will Serve as Keynote Speaker
Lisa Ling will participate in a moderated discussion at the upcoming Mental Health Matters Day. The event is slated for Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the event will be held virtually.

Ling is Executive Producer and Host of CNN’s This is Life with Lisa Ling and a former Co-host of ABC’s The View. Ling has been a long-time advocate of mental health and has shed light on the topic through her journalism work, most recently through her coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on people’s well-being.

“Ms. Ling has been a true champion for mental health,” notes Heidi Strunk, CEO of Mental Health America of California. “Through her reporting and sharing of her own experiences, she has provided a platform to have much needed conversations about the way mental health is viewed in America. We’re honored to have her be a part of our program.”

Now entering its sixth year, Mental Health Matters Day is an opportunity to showcase both the progress and ongoing need for mental health awareness. The program features various performances, speakers and presentations. Registration is free but required to view the event.
