Friday, December 6th at 5:00pm and tear down on Saturday, December 7th at 6:30pm

Fall Theme: ROOTED!
This fall we'll look at how beginning a faith journey with God and growing in a relationship with Jesus Christ requires us to look at what we're feeding our hearts and minds. Just as a tree soaks up through its roots much of what it needs to grow, so we must be grounded in the good stuff: God's Word, times of prayer and study, acts of service and worship, and healthy connections with other Christians.
I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will
empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.
Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him.
Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong.

Head to Salem for a night of games, sledding (maybe?),Christmas cookie decorating, hot cocoa and hanging with your friends!
GAME NIGHT!
Friday, December 20th 6:30pm-9:00 pm
The whole youth room will be open for a crazy variety of games. We'll hit the gym as well, and snacks will be provided to keep energy levels high. Cost: $3 - first-time friends are free!

WHITE ELEPHANT PARTY!!

We are heading to the Spehn residence (500 Yankton College Lane, New Brighton) for a time of great fun, tasty treats, and the annual white elephant gift exchange. Bring a snack to share and a wrapped gift - the more random the better!
PRE-CHRISTMAS EXTRAVAGANZA!
Saturday, December 21 2:30pm-10:45 pm
Join us for all or part of a festive, progressive adventure! First, we'll go ice skating at the Depot in downtown Minneapolis. Then we'll grab dinner downtown, before finally heading to Triple Espresso, a hilarious comedy show about "three guys with plenty of ambition and an utter lack of common sense." Choose your own adventure - all times listed are Salem drop-off and pickup:
Skating only(skates included): $10 2:30-5:45
Skating and dinner: $20 2:30-7:30
Dinner and show: $30 5:45-10:45
Show only: $20 7:30-10:45
Super Saver Package: Skating, dinner and show (maximum fun and value!) $35 2:30-10:45

Open to boys and girls in high school. A reminder to everyone that this IS a Church league. It is meant as an outreach. Members MUST be active in Salem's Sunday morning services, Sunday School or youth programs. This means that in order for you to play on Saturdays, pre-season and season games, you must also participate in an activity the week before: Sunday worship, Wednesday night Bible Study, or a youth activity that might be planned that week.
Basketball Applications will be handed out at practice, on the youth bulletin board or see Sue Pederson for a copy.
