 Our Mission:
To Make Disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World as we reach out to Children, Youth, and Families in our Community.
Face Mask 2
For all in-person activities, please wear a mask covering nose and mouth, even if vaccinated.

We do this to protect those who aren't vaccinated and the children because even vaccinated people can spread COVID.
Let Us Pray
Local, Community, and World Prayer Needs

Prayer is always needed in our lives and prayer is essential to our lives as Christians. Each night before you sleep, when you say grace, when you are alone in your personal time with Jesus Christ, bring up those who are in need of prayer.

If you have changes or a prayer request to add to this list, please reply back to this email.

Pray with the NC Conference in August
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people.” – 1 Timothy 2:1

You are invited to join your hearts together across our North Carolina Conference connection as we share together in daily prayer during the month of August. Consider setting aside a specific time each day to pray using these prompts.
Study the Word
CHILDREN AND YOUTH:

Resources available to be picked up in the children's Sunday School room.
ADULT CLASS

How people of faith respond in good times and hard times, and what can we learn from them. Through August 22.
WALK THROUGH THE BIBLE:
Adult Sunday School starting NEXT SUNDAY 8-29
Path in Woods
“We have the capacity to learn, mature, think, change, and grow. We also have the freedom to stagnate, regress, constrict, and lose our way. Which road will we take?”

Faith was never meant to be a place we get to. It’s a path we are on for all of our lives. We walk that path when we seek to learn more about our Lord and get closer to God.

Starting August 29, Mt. Tirzah will begin a year-long walk through the Bible during the adult Sunday School hour. Each Sunday at 10am, we will read and study three passages.
The book “We Make the Road by Walking” by Brian McLaren will add some insight into our discussions as we dig deeper into what it means to be a Christian seeking a closer walk with God. Requirements to attend: nothing! No prep! Just come!

Creation Care Moment
This June was the hottest ever recorded in the contiguous United States. These extreme temperatures further emphasize the coming reality of climate change throughout communities, countries, and the world. You can read more on the temperature data for June (and 2021 as a whole) in this article by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

Mt. Tirzah is taking a closer look at our impact on God's beautiful earth. We are excited to welcome our former pastor Jarrod Davis, head of the Creation Care team for the Conference, to speak on this subject on October 10 at 4:00pm, followed by a Covered Dish Dinner.
