SUNDAY, AUGUST 31, 11am: WORSHIP
- 11:00am: Worship in the sanctuary
WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 3, 7:00pm: CHOIR PRACTICE
- All are welcome! All you need is a desire to sing!
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7: SUNDAY SCHOOL RESUMES and SEASON OF CREATION CELEBRATION BEGINS!
- Join for Sunday School at 10 for special Creation-focused lessons on the Bible, followed by Creation-themed preaching and Bible reading for worship!

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 9:30AM: SEASON OF CREATION FIELD TRIP!
- Meet at the church at 9:30. We'll take the van over to the:
- Person County Harvest Market at Palace Pointe where we'll have the opportunity to purchase fresh local produce and baked goods while listening to live music and enjoying family activities.
- By 11, we will drive over to Susan and Patrick's house for a brief tour of their Certified Wildlife Habitat, solar installation, and registered Monarch Waystation while enjoying fresh-baked cookies and delicious lemonade!
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 6:30-8:30PM CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING
- All are invited to attend, and committee members are encouraged to attend!
- Committee chairs make up the Church Council and should attend if at all possible. For 2023, these include: Dustin Satterfield (Lay Leader, PPR), Amanda Puett (Church Council Chair, UMYF), Danny Vaughn (Trustees, Vice Chair of Church Council), Brenda Clayton (Recording Secretary and Christian Education), Pat Noell (Finance), Patrick Jacques (Treasurer, Membership), Rod Mullen (Pastor, Lay/Nominations Chair), Erin Satterfield (Family Ministries Chair, Lay Delegate to Annual Conference), David Reaves (Security Team Chair), Susan Jacques (Communications, Church Historian)
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 5, 10:00AM ON: ST. FRANCIS FEAST DAY AND BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS AND LAND!
- Bring a photo or memento of your favorite animal or something from your land/yard for Pastor Rod to bless during worship.
- Everyone is invited to prepare a dish to share at the Covered Dish Feast after Worship. (Consider making something using local produce or locally-sourced meat!)
- Susan will share briefly about her Earthkeepers project and the important role that Mt. Tirzah UMC is playing in it.

Recycle textiles! Old socks, shirts, anything that can't be donated that is made of textiles can be stuffed into a bag, purchased at this site, and recycled. Click HERE for details! (I vetted it. It is legit.)
