The Christian Help Center thanks Mt. Tirzah (that's you!) for the generous donations and support this Christmas season and over the years. Mt. Tirzah is a faithful financial supporter of the important missions of the CHC, and the in-kind donations collected in November were so appreciated!

During Advent, consider that Jesus calls us on a journey of transformation, of evolution to being who God created us to be. Where are you on that journey? What do you want or need to do to go deeper on that journey of transformation? Advent is a wonderful time to make that deeper commitment.

• Take your styrofoam to First-Elon for recycling into building materials!
• Take your plastic wrap to Bethany for recycling into park benches!
• Green Star Recycling, located at 109 Oxford Rd. (Hwy 158), wants your metal! They are open Monday through Friday, 9-4, for drop-offs.
• The Scrap Exchange in Durham takes all kinds of things, including craft supplies, packing peanuts, and bubble wrap! Click HERE for more details!
• Recycle textiles! Old socks, shirts, anything that can't be donated that is made of textiles can be stuffed into a bag, purchased at this site, and recycled. Click HERE for details! (I vetted it. It is legit.)
• Recycle Christmas lights at Lowes!
