The Vestry will be holding its next meeting on Monday, October 14.

With the loss of a long time parishioner last weekend, we appreciate all the more the vibrant, living family we have at St. James'. Thank you for being a part of it!

Pastoral Announcement

Erica Wool, long-time parishioner, passed away Saturday, October 5th. Erica served St. James' in many ways over the years including on Altar Guild, the Vestry, and as the Clerk of the Vestry. 

A grave side committal service will take place in the St. James' cemetery at 11 am on Saturday, October 12th. A lunch reception will follow in the Parish Hall. 

Erica's daughters hope you will join them. 

November Servers' Schedule

In creating our monthly servers' schedules, we always try to accommodate any vacation plans, work commitments, or other conflicts you may have. Please let Lola Michael Russell in the parish office know by October 17 of any dates you will be unable to serve in November. Many thanks!

2019 Annual Bazaar & Turkey Dinner

November 1 st & 2 nd  
The Bazaar Ladies have worked all year to create items for our Bazaar.
There are still some tasks to be done that the Ladies are unable to complete.
Your help is needed to complete those tasks.
Please Sign-Up to Help on the Following Dates
Friday, October 25 th
5:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Move furniture out of the Lounge
Take items off the walls in the hallway & Lounge
Bring lattices & other items up from the basement
Hang lattices in the shops & hallway
Set tables up in the shops
(We now have light weight tables)
Sunday, October 27 th
After the 10:15 am Service
Items in the Bazaar Workshop need to be brought upstairs.
Bazaar Bake Shop
Please bring your baked goods, jams, jellies, pickles, candies, etc. to the
Parish House at the following times.
                     Thursday, October 31 st                    5:30 pm – 7:30 pm
                    Friday, November 1 st                       8:00 am – 2:30 pm
                    Saturday, November 2 nd                  8:00 am – 12:00 pm

As Thursday the 31 st is Halloween, anyone who needs to drop off their items earlier, please contact Shirley Alexander (738-5331) to arrange a time.

The St. James’ Bazaar Ladies

November 2 is our Annual Turkey Dinner Fund Raiser!

Have you purchased your tickets yet? Have you checked out the sign-up sheets? We need YOU to make our event a success!

Ticket prices are the same as last year $15 adult $14 senior (65+)
and children (5-10) $8 4-under free (however must have a ticket)
Let’s all work together to make this year’s Turkey Dinner a huge success! Ticket sales are underway after both services and in the church office Tuesday-Thursday, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. Please also consider donating a turkey we need 24! Or other requested items listed on the sign-up sheets in the hall. We are also gratefully accepting cash/check donations to help offset the cost of purchased items such as eggs, dinner rolls etc. There are numerous ways you can help during the dinner, such as food prep, steam table server, dishwashers, clean-up crew please be sure to check the sign-up sheets for available time slots.
