Islam 101 with Pastor Jeff

Learn more about one of the world's large monotheistic faiths. In the next two classes, Pastor Jeff will continue the history and basic tenets of Islam, including the origins of faith for the Muslim world, the Prophet Mohammed, the Sunni and Shia split, key terms and theology. Register here.

Food Bank Item of the Month

THANK YOU ALL for your ongoing generosity to help feed those in our community who need it. We collect food donations weekly and we have wonderful volunteers who deliver the food to PV Community Food Bank at 32nd Street (north of Shea Blvd.) where the donations are shelved by other volunteers and prepared for distribution. If you or your student have time to volunteer at the food bank, go to their web page for more information.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit/all volunteer organization which does not accept any government funding, PV Community Food Bank's mission is to provide food assistance to those individuals who are living in northeast Phoenix with food insecurity and hunger on a daily basis, and who live in the 98 sq. miles of the PV Unified School District.

April - Pasta and canned pasta sauce

May - White or brown rice

June - Cereal and breakfast bars

Toiletries (toilet paper, toothpaste/brushes, soap, shampoo, etc.) are welcome year-round. Remember, no glass jars.

If you cannot get to the store, but want to make a donation, go to our 'GIVE' page, and select 'Food Bank' from the drop down menu. Thank you!

If you have an hour once in a while to pick up the donations and deliver them to the food bank, please sign up here.

Altar Flowers Dates Available

Thinking about honoring a loved one with flowers on the altar? Cactus Flower Florist does a wonderful job of arranging the beautiful flowers we get to enjoy each week in our Sanctuary. There are many dates available for 2026:

April 26 - One arrangement

May 10 - Both arrangements

May 17 - One arrangement

May 24 - One arrangement

May 31 - Both arrangements

Many more in June through November, and Dec 27

Each arrangement is $95.00. You may purchase one, or both, depending on availability.

Your dedication will appear on the back of the bulletin for the day you selected. Then you may take the arrangement(s) home to enjoy after the 9:15am service. When it's convenient for you, simply return the empty vase to the office which is then picked up by Cactus Flower to use again. ESL Teacher Needed at La Sagrada Familia

We are looking for a person to volunteer as a teacher for an 'English as a Second Language' class at La Sagrada Familia Church, 2500 E. Campo Bello Rd., Phoenix. Curriculum will be provided. You don't even need to speak Spanish!
