Anna Ostlie, a senior at Grand Canyon University, is finishing her 5th year of college basketball. She played for three years at Boise State before transferring to GCU. She was confirmed at La Casa de Cristo where she has been able to grow in her faith. She will talk about the lessons she has learned, both on and off the basketball court.
Frank Heldt is the president of Heldt Lumber Company, a 65-year-old business selling lumber and building materials. He is an active member of the board of directors of several Christian charity organizations, including Fuller Seminary and Christians in Commerce. Frank has long been involved at La Casa de Cristo in various ministries. He and his wife, Pat, have been members here since 1975. Frank has guided our various building projects, has served on the Board of Trustees since 2000, and was the former Chairman of the Board.
Helen Yung was born in China in 1949, the same year that Mao Zedong’s Communist Party established control over China. From the time she was born, she was taught to give her ultimate allegiance to Mao and the Party, to reject any Western influences (even classical music!), and to ascribe to an atheistic worldview. But God had other plans and, through a series of miracles, He rescued Helen not only from the terrors of the Communist regime, but from the ultimate problem of sin.
