Flash Class on the Nicene Council:

A Message from Pastor Matt

I hope you have been enjoying the 2026 Lent Devotional Book: This We Believe. I have big news to share with you regarding the material. Due to several inquiries, questions, and popular demand… I am offering a special FLASH CLASS on the history behind the Nicene Council and how and why they wrote the Christian Creed! You don’t want to miss this! There are three reasons I want to attend this class:

1)     It’s fascinating!

2)     It’s deeply important to Christian history.

3)     YOU will be there!

You have two opportunities to take advantage of this FLASH CLASS!

Sunday, March 1 at 11:30-1:00pm

Order and write a short dedication for the Easter Garden booklet here.

Are you interested in ushering or already serving as an usher? If so, join us for a required training class covering important safety procedures, provided by Jean Knowling, as well as basic skills of being an usher at La Casa de Cristo with Myla Clark. Per Pastor Jeff Ruby, this class is required for ALL ushers regardless of experience or prior safety training. Breakfast snacks provided.

La Casa Kids Egg Hunt

The Annual Egg Hunt will be here soon! We will have food, a bounce house, petting zoo, and more for kids of all ages!

This FREE, family-friendly event will take place:

Saturday, March 28 at 10:00am

Meet in the Sanctuary to kick off the egg hunt.

Following the opening of the Egg Hunt, Preschool will host an open house, so classrooms will be open for families to explore.

Filled Eggs Needed for Easter Egg Hunt

The tradition continues! To make the Easter Egg hunt a success, we need donations of plastic eggs filled with candy (no chocolate, please) and/or small toys. Please tape them shut and drop the eggs off at services or at the office Monday - Friday 9am - 4pm. Thank you for your generosity!

Don't forget to invite family and friends to this free event on Saturday, March 28 at 10am.

Egg Hunt Volunteers Needed

We are in great need of volunteers to help at the Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 28 in all areas of the event, from greeters to egg hiders to bounce house monitors to clean-up crew. There are several time slots available and we are happy to sign service hours for youth, if needed. This is a fun, easy way to serve our community as we host hundreds of people on our campus. Click here to sign up.

Join the La Casa Dragon Boat Team!

Now is your chance to join the fun, and help power La Casa’s Dragon Boat at an upcoming festival! Dragon Boat racing has been a traditional Chinese watercraft activity for over 2000 years and is now a modern international sport! And La Casa is starting up their own team! We need at least 20 people to commit to this for the month of March.

The festival competition will take place on Saturday, March 28 at 7am at Tempe Town Lake and we will have two practices before that on weekends in March. If you are interested, contact church member Luann Helepololei as soon as possible and she can share more information with you. Don’t miss this super fun opportunity!
