Summer Water and Food Drives
Matthew 25:35-40 "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink..."
With the needs of our greater community growing, in the month of June we will once again partner with Phoenix Rescue Mission's Code:Red life-saving water drive for those who are experiencing homelessness. On June 27th and 28th, you may bring your water donations when coming to church and our volunteers will unload your car for you. Can't shop for water? You can make a donation toward the purchase of water here on our GIVE page, and select 'Good Samaritan Fund' from the drop-down menu. Won't be here that weekend and want to drop off a case or two of water? Bring them to the front office Monday-Friday, from 9am-4pm. Thank you!
Then in July, our annual PB&J drive will coincide with the service project of VBX to stock the shelves of PV Community Food Bank. We will send reminders for this as July approaches!
Come August, the Mac 'n Cheese challenge will bring out the competitiveness among our congregation as we try to beat the previous year's total. But, as always, the real winner is the PV Community Food Bank and the neighbors they serve. Keep an eye on the e-news for the start of this challenge.
As always, any food donations are welcome all week long, which are then taken by volunteers to the PV Community Food Bank. Thanks for your generosity and for serving!
