"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord - Jeremiah 29:11

Happy Mother's Day!

Lord, we thank you for our mothers; we thank you for protecting and preserving them. We give you all the glory for all they have done in our lives. We thank you for all the wisdom and strength you have bestowed upon them. Lord, we pray you continue to increase them in all areas and grant them their hearts' desires according to your plans for their lives. Amen!

Women's Summer Bible Study

Book of James

Tuesdays, Jun 3 - Jul 1

6:30pm - 8:30pm

Fellowship Hall

When you are facing hardship, challenge, or uncertainty in your life, do you turn to the Bible for answers? If so, where? The book of James echoes the unwavering, loving voice of Jesus providing comfort, clarity, and encouragement in extraordinary ways. James, the brother of Jesus, remained a skeptic for quite some time despite watching his own brother perform mighty miracles. But something about the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus changed everything for James.

Come and encounter the Truth of God’s life-changing Word for yourself. Whether you are new to Bible Study or have studied for years, you don’t want to miss out on this opportunity, offered alongside an amazing community of women! Cost is $25. Register here.

Building Fund Pledge

The Building Fund pledge year begins June 1st. We continue to have fixed and ongoing financial needs such as our mortgage, utility bills, and campus repair and upkeep.

We ask that you prayerfully consider how you can serve by continuing your Building Fund pledge commitment for 2025-26. If your pledge remains the same, you do not need to contact us.

To change your pledge, call Colleen Wiley at 480-948-1234 or send an email to cwiley@lacasadecristo.com and let her know your new pledge amount. If we do NOT hear from you, we will keep your pledge the same for the coming year. Thank you for supporting your church and strengthening La Casa de Cristo’s legacy. Answers to Trivia Questions

Where is this piece of stained glass located in the Sanctuary and what is depicted on it?

The Butterfly is located high in the east side of the sanctuary, on the south wall, third from left. The metamorphosis of the caterpillar into a butterfly makes it a symbol of Easter and the resurrection with the chrysalis representing the grave and the butterfly representing the triumph of Christ Jesus over death.

After His resurrection, how long did Jesus remain on earth before he was taken up to heaven?

40 days. Acts 1:3 "After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God."

What does the butterfly symbolize spiritually?

Resurrection, Transfiguration and Transformation...

All of the above!
