Preschool Patriotism Day

On Wednesday, November 6, we are once again hosting our Patriotism Day program to honor family members of our current preschool families who have served or are currently serving our country in any branch of the military.

Current Preschool families may submit names of those you would like to have honored (who are local) to the preschool office ASAP so that proper invitations can be extended. Call 480-998-0866.

The 4 and 5 year olds will be the featured singers. 

Next Food From the Heart

Saturday, November 9, 9:30am - noon

Volunteering for Food From the Heart is a wonderful way to build friendships and help those in our congregation who need a little TLC. Once a month on a Saturday at 9:30am, gather with other volunteers to prepare, assemble and then deliver meals to those who may be recovering from surgery or any number of reasons. Meet in the Fellowship Hall across from the kitchen. Can't help prepare? Then maybe you would like to just deliver a meal. We welcome everyone! Your young children can help at your discretion and with your supervision.

Angel Tree Adoptions

Beginning Sunday, Nov. 10, 7:00am-12:00pm

'Tis the season for La Casa de Cristo to join together to share the love of Jesus through our Angel Tree outreach program. The opportunity to 'adopt' families and children will be available outside the Sanctuary in the center court by the fountain and the Gathering Place patio before and after worship on Nov. 10, Nov. 16-17, Nov. 23-24, and then on Wed., Nov. 27 after Thanksgiving Eve service under the Sanctuary Portico and on Dec. 1 before or after all services.

If you are unable to adopt a child or family, you can provide gift cards for shoes, or help to deliver gifts on Sat., Dec. 14 at 8am. Please note: Drop-off of food and gifts will be at La Sagrada Familia, 2500 E. Campo Bello Drive on Wed., Dec. 4, from 8am-7 pm, and Sunday, Dec. 7, from 1-4pm. Find more details here, OR donate online HERE, by selecting Angel Tree from the drop-down menu under 'Fund.'

Serve at St. Vincent de Paul

Please note: Our amazing volunteer coordinators, Roger and Kim Olson, have faithfully served this ministry for many years, but will be stepping down after November. Please prayerfully consider being a part of this vital ministry by stepping into the role of the volunteer coordinators. You may have friends who you could share the responsibilities with, so that serving the homeless at the shelter once a month continues with La Casa de Cristo volunteers.

A wonderful group of volunteers heads down to the SVdP dining room right after the 8am service on the 3rd Sunday each month to bless and be blessed by serving the noon meal. Ages 16 and up (14 & 15 yr. olds must be with an adult). Wear closed toe shoes. LCdC Ship Float will be in Fountain Hills' 40th Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade!

Our 50th Anniversary float will be participating in the Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade in Fountain Hills! This free event is a perfect way to kick off the holiday season, and takes place along Avenue of the Fountains.

Pastor Matt needs your help steering La Casa de Cristo's 50th Anniversary Ship, as well as walking alongside the float to spread the love! Set up is at 7am. Please email Pastor Matt at pastormatt@lacasadecristo.com to let him know you'll be there!

Thank you all for your ongoing generosity!! November's focus will be non-perishable Thanksgiving items, such as canned vegetables and fruit, boxed or bagged stuffing, boxed mashed potatoes, canned gravy (or packets), cornbread mix, etc. No fresh meat, No fresh veggies/fruit.
