"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord - Jeremiah 29:11

All are welcome to the

Preschool Open House

This is your personal invitation to join us next Thursday, September 26 from 5:30 to 7:00pm at our Preschool Open House event. Come and meet the staff and see all the wonderful ways our young students are engaged in learning through play, curriculum and prayer. There will be pizza for purchase, a cookie walk, faux tattoos, and great prizes to win. Click the link below to purchase your food and raffle tickets in advance.

Did you know that the preschoolers participate in PE and Music once a week, and also attend Chapel for prayer weekly which is sometimes led by different ministry directors, as well as our pastors? Three times a year, they participate in S.T.E.A.M. fairs which challenges them in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.

If you've never wandered over to the preschool area, this is your chance to see how the classrooms are decorated by our dedicated teachers, and just how fun a learning environment that La Casa de Cristo Christian Preschool is!

It's never too early to plan where you want your child to attend preschool, so stop by for information and to get a first hand look at our beautiful facility. Hope to see you on the evening of the 26th!

New Adult Ed Classes starting soon

Favorite Bible Stories with Liz Lucas

Fridays, Oct 4 - Nov 1, 9:30am, Room A

or

Sundays, Oct 6 - Nov 3, 9:15am, Room A

Somewhere along the way we’ve all heard about Noah’s Ark, David & Goliath, Daniel in the Lion’s Den, Jonah and the fish, and The Good Samaritan. We know the gist of the stories, but we have questions. Did they really happen? Why are they in the Bible? Do we have all the details? Are they simply stories for the enjoyment of children or are they something for adults to consider?

In this 5-week class series we will delve into one of these topics each week. There is never any homework for these classes that are taught lecture-style, but comments and questions are encouraged.

Invite friends and sign-up here for all Adult Ed classes on one convenient form!

The Gospel of the King: a Study of Matthew

with Pastor Carol Peters

Sundays, Oct 6 - Nov 24, 10:30-11:30am, Room B

Matthew presents Jesus as the promised Messiah-King, and the Kingdom of God is a major theme in its pages. Matthew is a bridge between the Old and New Testaments, citing the Old Testament over 100 times and showing how Jesus fulfilled prophecy. Matthew is also called “the teaching Gospel” because it showcases Jesus’ six major addresses including the Sermon on the Mount, the Parables of the Kingdom, and the Olivet Discourse. Matthew is not a chronological account of Jesus’ ministry but one that deliberately moves the reader step by step to the realization of who Jesus is and culminates with Jesus’ grand declaration: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me” (Matthew 28:18).

In this 8-session class, we will take a fresh look at Jesus through Matthew’s eyes. We will study Jesus’ words and their message to us today. We will see Jesus’ miracles and try to discern their meaning. And hopefully, we will come to understand what it means to bow in reverence before the Lord Jesus and call Him our King. Register here.
