Appreciation RECOGNITION SUNDAY
This Sunday between and after Services

This Sunday will be a day to recognize all who serve Resurrection parish in any and all ministries.  In the fall of our program year we formally commissioned our outreach and inreach programs that are run and led by the laity who volunteer their time, talent and physical activity. Now as the program year nears its close with the school year, it is time to recognize all for their commitments, and say thank you.  Our church is built upon service.  Resurrection parish sets a wonderful example for being Christ's body in the world.  When asked, "why should I come to the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection",  the key answer is; "because we are a church of action, caring for those in need and  providing a spiritual place of fellowship and worship to all".

Please come and be recognized and join in recognizing others who are the Body of Christ in the world!

Next meeting is Monday, June 5 at 7 pm

The Finding Faith Through Fiction Book Club will meet at the church on Monday, June 5 at 7 pm to discuss the novel
A Piece of the World by Christina Baker-Kline.

Christina Olson's whole world has been a rocky, windswept point on the coast of Maine, the farmhouse her ancestors fled to from the Salem witch trials. A world she fears she will never leave. As a girl, farm life asked more of Christina than it did her family, her wasting limbs turning every task into a challenge. But the very tenacity that strengthened her may dash her chances for a life beyond her chores and extinguish her hopes for love.Years pass and Christina's solitude is broken by the arrival of Andrew Wyeth, a young artist who is fixated on the isolated farm house.
