Focus on the Season:

Third Sunday after Epiphany

January 22: Jesus begins his public ministry by calling fishers to leave their nets and follow him. In Jesus the kingdom of God has come near. We who have walked in darkness have seen a great light. We see this light most profoundly in the cross—as God suffers with us and all who are oppressed by sickness, sin, or evil. Light dawns for us as we gather around the word, the font, and the holy table. We are then sent to share the good news that others may be “caught” in the net of God’s grace and mercy.

Appointments with Pastor Walker

Service Time Information

Pastor Walker is in the office at CLC on Wednesdays, by appointment. Please contact Tom Dearchs to schedule a meeting. Please note that Pastor Walker does visitations, hospital visits, and Zoom meetings on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Friday is dedicated primarily to Shiloh Lutheran, to whom we are in shared ministry. Her scheduled day off is Monday. Unless it is an emergency, she will not respond to emails or texts until Tuesday.

Worship Service Time

The Holy Eucharist is celebrated each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Please join us for a time of fellowship (donuts & coffee) in the Fellowship Hall before the service from 9:00 - 10:15 a.m.

With a number of new faces in our midst, the Worship Committee felt it would be a good idea if we wore nametags for the foreseeable future. Nametags have been printed and are located on a table next to the bulletins. Please find your nametag (alphabetically on the table) and then pick up a bulletin. Please return the nametag to the table after worship. Thank you!

Christ's Cupboard --updated January 19, 2023--

P.S.S.T. Once these items are added to the pantry it will be ready to move on to serve the community. P. stands for pasta---any dry variety. We have the sauce just need its partner. S. stands for soap---we especially need laundry soap. S. stands for soup---doesn't soup sound good to all of us in the winter? T. stands for tuna---we have very few canned meats such as tuna, chicken, and ham. The rest of Christ's Cupboard looks full and I hope it will be

ready to head to Samaritan Love Center soon.

Do you like seeing the beautiful flowers on the Altar each Sunday? If so, we need you to sign-up today! There are many weeks remaining this year that need a sponsor. The flower cost is $20 per vase or two for $40. Two people may sign-up on a Sunday if you would like to share the cost. Please sign-up today!

Please note that we will not have flowers adorning the Altar if there is no sponsor for a particular week.
