Advent Devotions
Inspire. Ignite. Invite.
These Advent Devotions are provided to you as a gift from the participants of the IK Synod Spiritual Renewal Process – Inspire. Ignite. Invite. Siblings in Christ from 10 congregations have been meeting monthly via Zoom in three cohorts to participate in the second year of this process – Ignite 2021. During the year we have learned more about the Holy Spirit, focusing on aspects of the Holy Spirit – interceding, the fruit of the Spirit, comforting, stirring, renewing, inspiring, empowering, discerning, and creating. These Spirit themes are reflected throughout the devotions. What a joy to continue to grow relationships with others across the synod, to share our encounters with God through testimonies, and to continue to deepen our relationship with the Holy Spirit.

Thank you to the leadership team for Inspire. Ignite. Invite. – Mr. Jon Dahl, Gethsemane, Indianapolis, IN; Pr. Daryl Emowrey, Calvary, Cromwell, IN; Pr. Amy Beitelschees-Albers, Augustana and Grace, Elkhart, IN; and Pr. Nancy Nyland, Director for Evangelical Mission. And an immense thank you to Carol Ann Webb, Administrative Assistant, who edited and formatted this devotional collection.

Please click the purple-colored button to view and/or download/print the devotions. Copies are also available at the church and are located on the credenza in the Narthex. Please help yourself!
CAM Christmas Project
This year, CAM is asking for assistance with gifts for teenagers. Use your imagination -- goodies, body wash, board games, etc. There will be a table in the Narthex for your unwrapped gifts. Please get them to the church early in the week of December 5th. I know this is short notice and appreciate your prompt response. The shopping takes place on December 13, at Grace United Methodist Church.
Thank you,
Service Committee

Time to Renew Living Lutheran Magazine
Renewals for The Lutheran magazine are due in November or early December. The church group rate is only $8.95 (the individual rate is $19.95). This is a good time to start a subscription if you are not currently receiving the magazine from ELCA. You may use the special envelope (it is marked Lutheran Living Magazine, and dated DEC 5, 2021) from your box of offering envelopes to make your payment or, if you prefer, you can enter Living Lutheran on a line on the front of your regular offering envelope and include the subscription payment with your offering. If paying by separate check, please write a check for $8.95 payable to Christ Lutheran Church, and mark Living Lutheran on the memo line. If you have questions, please contact Tom Dearchs.
