The meeting originally scheduled for Sunday, January 22nd has been canceled.

Our next Business Conference is scheduled for April 23, 2023.

FOR PARENTS OF 6TH GRADERS (Rising 7th graders)

***IMPORTANT MEETING!***

THIS SUNDAY, JAN 22 at 4:30 pm | Student Building

There's big changes ahead and Jackie Pena, the Youth Minister, will be sharing what to expect through this transition, what programming will be available for your student, and what you need to know NOW so your student can participate in 2023 summer camps and mission activities. Sign-ups are already underway and we don't want them to miss out! Please plan to come out for this informative meeting.

ATTENTION ALL MEDICAL PERSONNEL

Will you serve on our Safety Team?

The safety team is actively looking to add medical personnel to their ranks. If you are presently licensed in North Carolina as a Physician, PA, RN, or EMT (any level), you are needed. While all safety team members receive First Aid and CPR training, they want to augment the team with medical professionals. One medical responder will be assigned each Sunday. This person would go about their normal Sunday activities but would also carry a team radio and agree to respond on campus to any medical emergency.

If you will serve on the team one Sunday a month and occasionally at special events please, contact Jeff Willis ([email protected] or 919.369.7921.)

New to Piney Grove? Join us for lunch and an information session about Piney Grove. The class will cover the ins and outs of our church mission & beliefs, resources, programs, and lots of other useful info as you get to know us. You're an important part of our community and we want to make sure you're 'In the Know'. This class is designed for New Members and those who are thinking about joining Piney Grove. (For those still thinking about joining, attending this class does not commit you, it simply gives you the information you need to help make your decision.) The class is open to adults and youth (age 16+).

Meet the Celebrities! Okay, so maybe they aren't quite celebrities, but they are pretty cool people. Our church staff will join us for lunch because they're excited to get to know you better. They will also be able to answer questions about the different ministries at Piney Grove.

Registration is going on now!

FRIENDLY REMINDERS FOR THE NEW YEAR

All information should be emailed to Holly Baldwin, [email protected].

DO YOU GIVE TO PINEY GROVE ONLINE?

**If you give your tithes and offerings online through our planning center portal, please read this carefully.**

ACH (bank transfers): Please be aware that the ACH fee has changed from $.25 to $.30 per transaction.

BUT IT'S ONLY A NICKEL! Yes, however, this means that if you have auto-draft set-up and you have graciously opted to cover the fees, the new additional .5 is being subtracted from your tithe.

(For Example: If your account is set to transfer $100 (tithe) + $.25 (fee), then going forward with the new rate change, it would transfer as $99.95 (tithe) + $.30 (fee).)

Action Needed: If you want your full tithe to go to Piney Grove, then simply go into Church Center using a web browser (not the mobile app) and adjust the draft amount to include the additional $.5.

Credit & Debit Cards: When you give using this method, please be aware that we are charged 2.15% + $0.30 per transaction. This means if you give $500 then $488.95 is given to Piney Grove and $11.05 (goes to the fees). BUT THERE IS A SOLUTION... in fact two options!

Solution 1: When you give your tithe please select the option to cover the fees.

Solution 2: Consider switching to ACH draft (only $0.30 per transaction), especially for larger monthly tithes that could be set to auto-draft.

Choosing either of these options allows Piney Grove to receive more of the funds you're giving to use for ministry!

How do I adjust my giving online?

  1. Log in to Church Center (www.pineygrovebc.churchcenter.com) using a web browser, not your mobile app.
  2. Click on the round icon in the upper right corner of your screen to go into your PROFILE.
  3. Scroll down until you see the option called, 'My Giving.' That is where you can make changes, set up auto-draft, set payment methods, view giving history, and more!

If you have questions or need help, please contact Peggy Garner or Holly Baldwin in the church office.

Thank you for your generosity. Your financial support makes the awesome ministries and missions at Piney Grove possible!

MEAL & MISSIONS ANNOUNCEMENT- Schedule Change!

Our regular schedule of Meal and Missions, on the first Wednesday of each month, will now be without the meal part. After several months of monitoring the attendance, costs, and other aspects, the kitchen team and the staff have decided to postpone the meal portion of this night indefinitely. We will continue to have our normal Missions focus on this night and the times for those will remain the same. Children’s choir will begin at their normal time, RA’s, GA’s, Mission Friends, Baptist Men, and WOM will all meet at 7:00 pm unless otherwise noted. We know that the meal fellowship time has been enjoyable for those who have attended but we feel that it is more feasible for us to postpone this for now and evaluate if and when we might re-launch the meal portion. If you have any questions regarding this change, please contact Pastor Mike.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT ADULT BIBLE STUDY

Wednesdays at 7 pm | Sanctuary

Living in Anticipation

1 Thessalonians

In First Thessalonians, Paul encourages the church to live with an eye towards the skies; to so live in anticipation of the return of our Lord Jesus Christ that it affects every area of daily living; our friendships, our love, our work, good times, and tough times, even the way we see death itself. Join us on Wednesday nights, at 7 pm for an in-depth study of 1 Thessalonians.
