"A defining moment is a point in your life when you're urged to make a pivotal decision, or when you experience something that fundamentally changes you. Not only do these moments define us, but they have a transformative effect on our perceptions and behaviors." - Forbes

The road that led to that first Easter morn was built on defining moments, Jesus entering into Jerusalem (Palm Sunday), His last supper with the disciples, (Maundy Thursday), and His death at Calvary (Good Friday). Each contained a defining moment, a pivotal decision that would lead to a definitive conclusion. But THE defining moment for all humanity occurred on the third day, when the stone was rolled away.

This Easter, we'll take an in-depth journey through the events of Holy Week.

Come enjoy the journey!

SITTING WITH THE DISCIPLES

Interactive Last Supper Experience

Wed, April 5 | 5:30 pm & 7:15 pm Seatings

This is a meaningful Easter experience for the whole family!

The table will be set for each person to experience what it must have been like to sit with the disciples in the Upper Room on that night just before Jesus made his way to Calvary. As we journey through this 'Remembrance Feast' we will explore the individual elements of the Seder, tasting each portion, and telling the story of God’s great redemptive plan...

TENEBRAE

A Service of Darkness

FRIDAY, APRIL 7 | 8:00 pm

It will be a meaningful service like you've never experienced!

This is an evening of TENEBRAE (Latin meaning "the darkening"). This quiet service of word and song, and candlelight (then darkness) acknowledges, once again, the love that Jesus has for you and me... and what He would subject himself to... for our benefit. This is the evening before the morning... the shadow in the sunlight... the darkening before the dawn...

DOLLYWOOD TICKETS- Last Call!

Piney Grove has been blessed with tickets to Dollywood Theme Park again this year for our faithful participation in packing OCC shoeboxes. If you're interested in receiving tickets, please email Sandra King at [email protected]. She will need your name, phone number & amount of tickets you would need. If you've received tickets in the past three years, please give someone else the opportunity to get tickets. Requests will be collected through March 23, 2023. If your name is chosen, you will be contacted by March 31, 2023. Thank you for blessing children worldwide by participating in this ministry.

Due to exciting growth in PG Kids, we will have an opening for 2 PEOPLE; a 3rd grade Sunday school TEACHER and an ASSISTANT beginning on Sunday, June 11th. Is one of these your position?

God's already picked the 2 people,

we're just letting you know it's GO time!

Is it YOU?

Come join a team of volunteers who are shaping biblical worldviews and building strong foundations in the lives of children as they go out into the world! "The greatest ministry in the church today is the ministry to our children." - George Barna

If YOU feel God tugging at your heart,

contact Michelle Frye to get started.

KIDS ACTIVITY PLANNING TEAM- Forming Now!

Ready to Plan Some Fun?

We would like to form an Activity Planning team for Piney Grove Kids. This team would be responsible for planning and organizing fun day trips with the buses for PG Kids when they are out of school. So far this year, the PG Kids have gone bowling, jumped at Big Air Trampoline Park, and visited the Asheboro Zoo. If you have ideas popping into your head about fun things you think should be on the calendar for PG Kids, you may be just right for this Team! The goal of these activities is to encourage genuine connection and friendship among our children. Please email MICHELLE FRYE by April 1st if you're interested in serving on this team.

We want to keep the fun trips going, but we need your help!

WOMEN'S MISSION TRIP TO RED SPRINGS

April 28-29, 2023 | Red Springs, NC (near Lumberton)

HEY LADIES... we're loading the bus and heading to Red Springs Mission Camp for 2 days of using our gifts and talents to touch lives in Jesus' name. This camp is operated by Baptists on Mission and is the same camp where our PGKids served last summer. We will have a project(s) designed for our group, and we'll have a great opportunity to make an impact on people's lives. BUT, while the service we provide is important in and of itself, we will also have the opportunity to build relationships, pray for, and minister to the community. It will be a weekend of fellowship, refreshment, and serving alongside other Christian women. We guarantee you will be blessed by blessing others, and you'll be glad you came.

To learn more about the camp, visit their Facebook page or website.

FOR DETAILS AND TO REGISTER:

Email Sandra King, Piney Grove's Women on Mission Director. She will provide you with the registration packet and details.
