Our New Parish Administrator

Welcome to Karen Knox

We are excited to welcome Karen Knox to Epiphany as our Interim Parish Administrator. She begins with us on Monday 2/26. Want to know a little bit more about her? See below.

Karen Knox is a lifelong Episcopalian and has lived with her husband, John, in Herndon for over 20 years. They have two adult sons, Zach and Matt. Karen has been active in her home parish of St. David’s Episcopal Church in Ashburn, VA, in volunteer and leadership roles since joining in 1996. Most recently, Karen worked as their Parish Administrator for eight years. Through the years, she has also been active in PTA, Scouts, Daughters of the King, and a long-running book club. Karen looks forward to serving the Epiphany Episcopal community as Interim Parish Administrator.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

Support Epiphany's Youth!

We celebrate our ministries inside and outside our parish! Bringing joy through performance and sport are some ways we do that in both places. Guess what? Youth parishioners Alia and Marah are performing soon (March 1st and March 2nd) in a local (Annandale) production of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Contact Nadia Baker for details!

Lenten Compline Series

on Zoom!

An easily accessible prayer and reflection series is being offered. For four Wednesday evenings in Lent - 2/28, 3/6, 3/13, and 3/20 - at 7 pm, join our online Compline service with reflection time based on the Lenten series readings from Living Compass - Practicing Forgiveness with All Your Heart, Soul, Strength, and Mind.

Some Lenten Reflection Books Still Available

The Lenten theme for this year from Living Compass is Living Well Through Lent 2024: Practicing Forgiveness with All Your Heart, Soul, Strength, and Mind. We hope that you will make time to read and reflect on each of the topics, which are about forgiveness: letting go, forgiveness as a choice, forgiving ourselves, and more. You are invited to pick up a copy from our welcome table or click here to download a copy now. Also, follow Epiphany on Facebook for quotes and other discussions about our Lenten reflection!

DID YOU KNOW?

Ministries Might Be Calling You!

At the Annual Meeting on February 4, we invited folks to identify what ministries they were interested in knowing more about! There are many small ways to get involved that build connections and help us get to know and care about each other beyond face recognition on Sunday. Please check out some of the ministries we have that may be calling out to you! Please download and complete this form, and either send it in the mail (3301 Hidden Meadow Drive, Oak Hill, VA 20171), scan and email it to [email protected], or drop it off with the ushers on a Sunday.

Storytellers Invited!

Learn and Play

Want to have fun while learning about and preparing to share Jesus’ Passion Story for Palm Sunday? Big parts or small parts. Check it out! The story will be told during the Palm Sunday service on March 24! Find out more - contact Dana Hale or Rev. Dina. The Storytelling Team's first meeting is after worship on February 25.

Curious About Serving on Vestry?

The vestry is where you get to engage in exciting parish leadership and integrally be involved in forming Epiphany’s direction and growth. It is also a unique opportunity to deepen your experience and integrate your faith in the way you work, play, and live. And it is often fun!

We are excited to see you at the vestry annual meeting on Sunday after the 10 am worship service. And then enjoying lunch with you. Child care will be provided!

Great news! The vestry and rector are excited to share that Meghan Therit Mason prayerfully considered and agreed to serve as a vestry member in the class of 2027. We are grateful for her discernment and look forward to how her gifts and presence will be a mutual blessing.

Joe Jung, who filled a vacant 2-year term has discerned a call to fill a vacant 1-year term on vestry. He will rejoin the vestry for the class of 2025.

If you are interested in or curious about serving on the vestry, we have two remaining positions. A 2-year vacancy (class of 2026) and a full term, class of 2027. If you are interested in joining the vestry at this very exciting time, please reach out to Rev. Dina or Joe Jung.

Preschool Registration

Enrollment Season is Here!

The preschool is open for registrations for the 2024-25 School year! Don’t have preschool-age children? Tell your neighbors about us! Tours are available by appointment with the director. More information about the preschool program can be found by clicking here to visit our website.

In Celebration of Black History Month... And Beyond

In celebration of Black History Month, we will be sharing information from the diocesan E-Communiqué. We invite you to take 10 minutes and check it out!
