*Nursery Care - 7:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., Infants and toddlers, ages 0-3 are welcome in St. Peter's professionally staffed nursery. The nursery area is accessible from the Church by walking through the Chapel, and proceeding up the steps to the left.

The clergy, staff, and lay leaders are finalizing a variety of formation, worship, programs, and events to begin in late August for adults, youth, and children. From June 25 to July 16, our 9:30 a.m. "Conversations with the Clergy" included

Sunday Evenings at St. Peter's. In addition to 8:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m., at 5:00 p.m. on the third Sunday of the month, an extraordinarily meditative Holy Eucharist is offered, patterned after the Taizé, France community. This year-round liturgy includes music for piano, time for contemplative silence, and candle-lighting as a prayer form. Mark your calendars for August 20, and if you have never attended, please consider this powerful option for worship. Our second and fourth Sunday offering of Choral Evensong resumes on September 24.

14 Pilgrimage of the St. Peter's Choir and the Rector to St. Albans Cathedral, U.K. All are invited to this special worship occasion, which also will celebrate our parish choir's invitation to serve as the choir-in-residence at The Cathedral Abbey and Church of Saint Alban. Choral Evensong, sung Evening Prayer from The Book of Common Prayer, includes
hymns, psalms, and traditional canticles for evening worship. A reception will follow the liturgy.
Registration Open for "Becoming Episcopalian" Inquirers/Confirmation Class, August 20 - October 8.
In preparation for the official Visitation of our Bishop Diocesan, The Right Reverend Samuel Sewall Rodman III, on Sunday, October 15, an 8-week "Becoming Episcopalian" class will be led by a team of clergy and lay leaders. Classes will be offered weekly on Sundays, August 20 through October 8, 9:30
10:30 a.m. All adult non-members and members who wish to learn more about, have a refresher, or reaffirm their faith as Episcopalians; who are not confirmed Episcopalians; or who wish to be received into the Episcopal Church from another Christian tradition are eligible to attend this class series.
Bishop Rodman will administer confirmations, receptions, and reaffirmations.

Mark your calendars for what will be crafted as an extraordinary day in the life of St. Peter's to lead us well in the remainder of the year. We have transferred the January 18 feast of the Confession of St. Peter the Apostle to Sunday, August 20 to rally all ages of the parish community about ministry areas and how to get involved; register for children, youth, and adult formation classes to begin August 27; and experience richer worship experiences at 8:00 a.m.,10:45 a.m., and 5:00 p.m. Watch for much more information and spread the word about St. Peter's Day 2017.

Our annual retreat to Kanuga Conference & Retreat Center in the mountains of Western North Carolina, will take place from dinnertime on Friday, September 15 through lunchtime on Sunday, September 17.
"Unopened Gifts" is this year's theme. During a balanced weekend of fun, fellowship, rejuvenation, and recreation for infants to our oldest parishioners, those on retreat will have occasions to share and explore the things that bring joy in our lives. What gifts has God given that make our days and weeks brighter? How might God be calling us to use our gifts to serve others?
