Advent Lessons and Carols, Sunday, December 4
: During the 10:45 a.m. service, the St. Peter's Choir, clergy, and readers present our annual festival of Advent Lessons and Carols. This Episcopal/Anglican liturgy dates back to 1880 in England when Christians gathered to reflect on the gift of creation and humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus. Lessons are interspersed with congregational carols, choral anthems, and music for organ. This service sets the tone for a deeply meaningful holiday season and will include the Holy Eucharist. Afterwards, all are invited to the Parish Festive Advent Potluck Luncheon in the Parish Hall.

Volunteers handle every aspect of this ministry, from providing and serving meals, making sack lunches, setting up beds, cooking and serving breakfast, staying overnight, and doing laundry. To learn more, come to the Room in the Inn Potluck Kickoff Dinner on Wednesday, November 30 at 5:30 p.m. and let one of our team members show you the ropes.
