Bytown Boys Supporters Club to Run Scavenger Hunt
Ottawa Street Soccer to Benefit from This Event
The Bytown Boys Supporters Club is raising money for Ottawa Street Soccer, a group that aims to connect with people living in shelters and individuals who have been isolated by bringing them together to play soccer. By doing this they help create a sense of community and develop social skills. Half of all the registration fees of the competition will be given to the charity.
We are planning a photo scavenger hunt based in downtown Ottawa and the Byward Market with cryptic clues regarding the world of soccer. Participants are encouraged to wear soccer jerseys, scarves and hats or if an organisation wishes they may also wear their own uniform. The event is scheduled for April 27th, 2013.
Entering is quite simple: an entry fee of $20 for a 2 person team, each team must have a digital camera in some shape or form. Teams will have to solve the clues and take a picture of each other at the "answer." The prizes are; 1st place half of the total registration fees, 2nd place a Bytown Boys supporter scarf for each team member and 3rd place a Bytown Boys T-shirt for each member. The more participants, means more funds for Street Soccer and a larger first prize. Because this will take place downtown we recommend that you walk, bicycle, use OC Transpo, or a combination of the three. (OC Transpo currently has a family day pass which includes 2 people over 13 for $7.75 on weekends)
