Epiphany of Our Lord

Observed Jan. 6/7 – Communion at all Services

What a joy it is to celebrate the Epiphany of our Lord Jesus Christ (January 6)! This festival day will be celebrated in all three services at St. John this weekend (January 6/7). The removal of the greens from the sanctuary will take place immediately following the 11am service. If you and your family would like to help remove the greens, please dress accordingly and plan to be at church at 12pm.  Please join us in these Epiphany celebrations as we give thanks to God for the Light of Christ shining into all the world.

Thank You

Thank you to all who have ordered poinsettias and wreaths, supplied greenery, arranged flowers and supplied trees to adorn the sanctuary and outdoors for Christmas. Our thanks also to all who helped decorate. You may take your poinsettia home after the 11am service on Sun., Jan.7 . Click here to see list of donations.

Upcoming Voting Assembly

Please plan to attend this semi-annual Voting Assembly.

There will be no adult Bible studies on Jan. 21

Blood Pressure Screening (Sponsored by St. John Parish Health Ministry)

You can get your blood pressure checked at church the weekend of January 6/7, after Saturday evening service and between Sunday morning services. You have two options for checking your blood pressure: 1) A nurse is available to check your blood pressure; 2) A station is set-up where you can check your own blood pressure. Come to the Cry Room area to check your blood pressure. It’s good to know your numbers!

Something New for Children in Worship

Maybe you have noticed something new in worship. A new rolling bookshelf with children’s Bibles has been added to complement the children’s worship bags. These Bibles are provided by a generous donation to enhance worship for children and families. There are two levels of children’s Bibles: the Beginner’s Bible for Little Ones for ages 2-4; and the Beginner’s Bible for children up to 6 years old. Feel free to grab one as you enter for worship and return it to the shelf upon exiting, and they will be ready and waiting for you the next time.
