Help Wanted
All we need is U

It takes a village and St. Micheal's is looking for amazing volunteers with all sorts of talents and skills. When you see this logo/image let us know if you are able to help. With many new initiatives on the horizon, let us know how you want to get involved. Current opportunities to help:
SPRING CLEANING - Help Needed!
We are looking for some parishioners who are interested in helping us clean out and organize our indoor space as we prepare and look forward to resuming indoor activities. St. Michael's is a large space that'll need some sprucing up and re-vamping as we re-envision our "post-pandemic" life. Email [email protected] to help organize and sort all our beloved treasures!
The Lord's Dinner
Sunday, April 11

The Lord's dinner is coming up on Sunday, April 11th. We are looking for 5 families to make 10 bagged dinners to drop off at Diane Verlinde's home at: 915 Oak Bend Court by 3 pm on Sunday April 11. Please email Diane at [email protected] or call (719) 329-8771 for details.
Mercy's Gate
Volunteers Needed

Mercy's Gate is reopening its food Pantry and inviting neighbors inside to shop for their own food. Beginning May 3 volunteers are needed to help. One host and two shoppers are needed during the following times:
  • Mondays 4:00 - 7:00 PM
  • Wednesdays 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Thursdays 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM or 1:00 - 4:00 PM
  • Fridays 4:00 - 7:00 PM.
Interested in helping? Email Lucy Baldwin at [email protected] or contact Jim Moore [email protected].
Lost & Found

We have recently found a bracelet that was lost in the parking lot. If you believe this could be yours, please call us at (719) 598-3244 or email Elise at [email protected]. We'll ask for a description of this bracelet to see if the one we've found matches the one you are looking for. We'd love for this treasure to find it's way back home!
Forward Day by Day

We have the Forward: Day by Day available and ready for you, even as we continue to worship from home. The large and small copies can be found in the bin outside the office door up the red wooden ramp at St. Michael's. Stop by whenever you are in the area to pick up yours!
The May/June/July edition is ready and available.
Part-Time Sexton Search

St. Michael's is currently in the search process for a part-time Sexton to help maintain the cleanliness of our space. In the meantime, we are seeking assistance with weekly cleaning and maintenance. If you are interested in helping out with any small weekly cleaning needs or if you know someone who may be interested please reach out to our Junior Warden, Tom Baranowski, at [email protected]
AVL Volunteers

We are happy to bring our Sunday worship services right into your home, but it takes a team and we need help!

Each service we need the following technicians:
  • 1 Sound Tech for streaming sound
  • 1 Sound Tech for sound in the space
  • 1 Video Tech to frame and switch camera angles
  • 1 Video Tech to follow the service and prepare what camera shot to go to next
  • 1 Tech Director to oversee and coordinate all this together

We have an amazing team working hard each Sunday (and more than double-time during Holy Week) but we simply need more help to keep this going moving forward. It takes some time to train in each of these areas, so we'd like to get our next team training so we can give our current team a little breather come summer. And no need to have the knowledge already, we will work to train every volunteer to feel confident in how to run tech for each service. If you have any interest please reach out to Elise at [email protected] to get involved!

Library Book Help

We are looking to re-envision our St. Michael's library to help this become a more active space in our church community. If you have any interest in helping us sort through the books, the space itself, or if you'd like to help design the direction of this space as we work to make better use of it please reach out to us by emailing Elise at [email protected].

Pen-Pal Program

Last year St. Michael’s began building a relationship with St. Matthias Episcopal Church and School in Haiti. In addition to providing food and scholarships for the school, we are also embarking on a new pen-pal ministry. CLICK HERE to sign up to be a Pen-Pal for children in Haiti! Many children in developing countries face different struggles everyday, but that never dampens their joy. By writing a letter to a child in need you are engaging in the work of God. People of all ages are invited to join in this new ministry! Questions? Contact Allie Holcombe at [email protected]
