INCLEMENT WEATHER PLAN

In-Person Activities Cancelled/Campus Closed
After much prayer and consideration for the safety of our church family, the staff and leadership have made a decision concerning church services tomorrow. Based on the current forecast of impending winter weather and the timing of the event, we have decided to cancel all “in-person” services for tomorrow, January 16th. This includes all afternoon and evening scheduled programs as well.

Let's Get Cozy... Worship Online
Grab your coffee or hot cocoa, gather 'round your TV, tablet, phone, or computer, and worship using our online tools right from your cozy living room. Pastor Steve will be sharing his message ONLINE beginning at 9:30 am and Mrs. Michelle will be doing Kids Worship ONLINE at 11:00 am. You will receive an email tomorrow morning with links to all the resources available for online worship. Be sure to tune in and take part. This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!

Stay safe & warm church family!
WORSHIP RESOURCES for Sunday, January 16th
Ever wanted to be in a choir?
Love to sing?
Want to get back to choir-normal?

Then come join me each Sunday, starting on January 23rd @ 5:00 pm. Please note the date change due to inclement weather on the 16th.

It takes people, practice, sacrifice, and a desire to lift up the name of Jesus!

Without a single one of those absolutes, it's impossible to have a church choir.

Pray & Consider… then come ready to sing!

In Christ Alone,
John Forman
SERVE OPPORTUNITY- GREETERS NEEDED

Don’t you feel more at ease when there's someone readily available to help when you go into a new place? Sure you do! Well, there is no better place to make people feel welcome than at church.

Making a great first impression is something we need to make sure we do well. With the change in schedule coming up and with the steady flow of new people visiting Piney Grove, we really need several additional people in the Welcome Center and at the doors greeting, and welcoming everyone. We also need folks to guide guests looking for things like where to check-in their children or youth, where to go for worship, where restrooms are located, etc.

We need your help and will provide you with all the training you need. I just need to get a list of folks who are friendly and would be willing to volunteer on a regular basis in the Welcome Center as a greeter. Please sign up here (create a link to sign up). I look forward to serving alongside you in this very important ministry. ~Pastor Mike

KIDS CHOIR ANYONE?
Many of you have missed the kid's musicals! We are looking at times to offer this to kids in grades 1st - 6th who want to be a part of telling the good news of Jesus in a creative and fun way through drama and singing. We are looking to involve the youth group as well! Please EMAIL MRS. MICHELLE to let her know if your child wants to be a part and could participate in practices on Wednesdays at 6:00 pm. If at least 20 kids are interested by January 30th, then she will get this going again in February!
5th SUNDAY FAMILY WORSHIP- January 30th
January 30th is Family Worship in the sanctuary at 11 am – all children ages 3 and up are invited to worship with their parents. There will not be preschool or grade school Kids Worship. Nursery will be provided for 0-2 for those who prefer to use this service. (We will still have Sunday School for all ages at 9:30 am.)

FEBRUARY SCHEDULE CHANGES FOR KIDS- Please plan ahead
On February 6th, two big things are happening! Please pay attention, as the church schedule changes. We will be returning to two worship services and a Sunday School hour. One worship service at 8:30 am and one worship service at 11 am. There will be a Sunday School hour at 9:45 am. Also, MERGE and the youth will be leading in both worship services, so there will NOT be Kids Worship or a children’s sermon offered on February 6th. Moving forward after February 6th, you will have the following choices, as we are going back to the schedule we had prior to COVID:

8:30 am Worship Service (Traditional Blended) w/children’s sermon. Nursery for ages 0-2.
9:45 am Sunday School for children of all ages nursery – 6th grade
11:00 am  Worship Service (Modern). Nursery for ages 0-2.
11:00 am PGKIDS Worship for Preschool (ages 3-Kinder) & Grade School (1st-6th grade)
KIDS MISSION GROUPS (RAs/GAs/MFs)

All mission groups will resume our regular Wednesday night schedule beginning at 7:00 pm Wednesday, January 5th. Parents, this will be Meal & Missions night (6:00 pm) so please remember to sign-up if you plan to take advantage of the meal provided.
