6 June 2021
O God, from whom all good proceeds: Grant that by your inspiration we may think those things that are right, and by your merciful guiding may do them; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

A Message from Rev. D
More Info on Regathering and Annual Meeting on June 6th

In order to continue to seek the health of all in our community, masks are required to be worn and we will maintain social distance with no physical contact with someone not in your household. There may be some in our community who have been vaccinated and are okay with hugs, but there are others who, vaccinated or not, are not comfortable with hugs. In order to create an atmosphere of welcome regardless of vaccination status and/or comfort with hugs, I am asking everyone to do their part in maintaining social distance when we gather.

8:00 AM Service

When the weather allows for the 8:00 am service to be outside, people will be allowed to remove their masks while they are at their seat.

10:00 AM Service

Masks are required to be worn by the congregation. A limited supply of masks will be available for those who do not have one.

Entrance to the church will be through the Sigourney Street main door only.

Exit from the church will be through the doors in the South Narthex leading out to the Close.

Restrooms in the Narthex are available if needed.

Single use Bulletins will be provided. Please take your bulletin home with you.

Offering plates will be at the Sigourney Street entrance, and on a pedestal when you exit through the South Narthex into the Close; plates will not be passed.

Friends,

Our Outreach Team will not be meeting until June, so I decided I needed to let you know that I received an email from John Lent, Executive Director of The American Friends Of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem. Below is part of the email that John sent.

Ahli Hospital always needs our help, but now more than ever. Can you help beyond what the church will send? Please think about this today and act. Please contact me if you need more information.
Hoping you all are safe and well.

Kate Smith, Missioner for AFEDJ and the Outreach Team

Dear Friends,

The disaster happening in Palestine and Israel is heartbreaking and tragic. Violence between Jews and Arabs is spreading throughout the region and rockets and bombs have hit hundreds of targets in Gaza and southern Israel. Israeli troops are shelling Gaza from the ground near the border and the threat of a ground war is very real this morning. Please pray for the people of Israel and Palestine.

Ahli Hospital and its courageous leader need your help. They desperately need financial support to keep operating during this crisis. Please give all that you can. Please give now. Give online | American Friends of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem (afedj.org)

Every dollar you give goes directly to Ahli Hospital. We get the funds there immediately. The gift you make today will buy supplies and medicines and support the brave nurses, doctors and staff at Ahli tomorrow. Please give generously. Please let the people of Gaza know they are not forgotten.

Faithfully, John Lent

Trinity Book Group

Trinity's Book Group was ready for an uplifting story, so its next selection is The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver. “It is the charming, engrossing tale of rural Kentucky native Taylor Greer, who only wants to get away from her roots and avoid getting pregnant. She succeeds, but inherits a 3-year-old native-American little girl named Turtle along the way, and together, from Oklahoma to Tucson, Arizona, half-Cherokee Taylor and her charge search for a new life in the West.”

All are welcome to join this Zoom meeting, slated for Friday, June 18th, at 7:00 pm. To receive a Zoom link, please contact Linda MacGougan. ([email protected])

A/V Guild

After taking a step back from recruitment to continue to refine the system, we are once again seeking volunteers to be a part of the A/V Guild. Don’t worry about your level of technical skill. If you can press a button on a remote control, then there’s a place for you on the team. If you would like more information, would like to volunteer, or would like to come watch the a/v guild at work on a Sunday to get a sense of what they do, please be in touch with Jake Troiano or Casey Rosseau.

Please email [email protected] or call 860-527-8133 ext. 204 and Barbara Roos will provide contact information for Casey and Jake.
