Update on Current COVID Protocols
as of Sunday, 11 September
- We will return to the Common Cup on Sunday and will offer wine and grape juice.
-
Masks at indoor services are strongly encouraged.

As a reminder, there are various levels of comfort in our community with masking, handshakes, and hugging, so please be respectful of others whose decisions differ from your own.
Thank you for your continued cooperation and flexibility. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to Rev. D. or a member of the Vestry.

Give to the Bishop Farewell
In honor of Bishop Ian,
give to the Bishop Farewell Fund
In accordance with recent tradition, to honor our bishop on his retirement, ECCT has set up a fund for donations in his honor to an organization designated by him. Bishop Ian has chosen Integrated Refugee and Immigrant Services (IRIS). IRIS provides wrap-around services for refugee families, asylum seekers, asylees, and other immigrant families who seek assistance to stabilize their family situations in the U.S.

Women Together: a group that gathers weekly to explore our Christian faith and practice through book discussion, prayer and fellowship. We will resume meetings on Tuesday, September 13th from 2:00 to 3:15pm in the reception room at St. John’s (679 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford, CT).
We will begin reading My Neighbor’s Faith, Ed: Jennifer Howe Peace, Or N. Rose & Gregory Mobley. 2012. This groundbreaking volume gathers an array of inspiring and penetrating stories about the interreligious encounters of outstanding community leaders, scholars, public intellectuals, and activist from the United States, Europe, and the Middle East.
For this meeting we will read Part I: Encountering the Neighbor, pgs. 3 – 41. The books we choose are usually available at amazon.com and other booksellers.
WT has been attended by women from St. John’s, Trinity, St. James and St. Monica’s. Please contact Linda MacGougan or Cathy Rowe if you would like additional information.
