Update on Current COVID Protocols
as of Sunday, August 14
- At this time, only the Bread will be offered at Communion. Please remember that receiving Bread only imparts the full benefit of the Sacrament.

Masks at indoor services are strongly encouraged.
- We will continue to wear masks in the office in all common areas, and those who have private offices may request visitors to wear masks. Please be respectful of staff wishes.
As a reminder, there are various levels of comfort in our community with masking, handshakes, and hugging, so please be respectful of others whose decisions differ from your own.
Thank you for your continued cooperation and flexibility. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to Rev. D. or a member of the Vestry.

Thanks to your generosity, Trinity was able to present 21 backpacks to Covenant to Care for Children, following their blessing on August 7. Thank you so much for your support of this ministry!

Church by the Pond on August 20
Trinity's late summer opportunity to participate in this ministry led by Christ Church Cathedral is Saturday, August 20.
- We'll meet in the Trinity kitchen at 12:30 to prepare bag lunches, entering though the outside door to the kitchen.
- At 1:45 we'll bring those lunches to Bushnell Park, where we'll participate in the worship service by the pond, led by Rev. D.
- We'll distribute our lunches and personal care items following the service, and finish around 3:00.
All parishioners and families are welcome. Volunteers will observe mask and social distancing protocols while working in the Trinity kitchen, and are encouraged to do so at the park as well.

Transition to Eternal Life
Margaret Moore, a member of our parish, departed from this life on August 7, 2022.
We extend sympathy to Margaret’s daughter, Debbie; the Moore family and pray for the repose of Margaret's soul, now in the nearer presence of our Lord.
Details regarding a funeral service will be provided at a later date.
Father of all, we pray to you for Margaret,
and for all those whom we love but see no longer.
Grant to them eternal rest. Let light perpetual shine upon them.
May her soul and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Letter from the Lambeth Conference
Dear Companions in Christ in ECCT:
We write this letter on the closing day of our participation in the 15th Lambeth Conference meeting at the University of Kent in Canterbury, England. The Lambeth Conference is a gathering of the bishops from throughout the worldwide Anglican Communion called by the Archbishop of Canterbury approximately every ten years for the sharing of fellowship, Bible study, prayer, worship, consultation, and conversation. It was a blessing to participate in the Lambeth Conference as your bishops from the Episcopal Church in Connecticut. It was a particular gift that the Archbishop of Canterbury also extended an invitation to Bishop-elect Jeffrey Mello to join in the conference. Your bishops and bishop-elect thank God and thank you, the good people of the Episcopal Church in Connecticut, for the privilege of attending the Lambeth Conference. Your prayerful support has sustained us over the last twelve days at the Lambeth Conference.

Trinity Book Group
September Meeting
Trinity's Book Group will kick off the new program year in September with a discussion of the Pulitzer prize-winning novel by Carol Shields: The Stone Diaries. It is the story of Daisy Goodwill Flett, from her birth in Canada in 1905, through her years as a wife, mother, and widow, as she seeks to understand her place in the world. The meeting is on Friday, Sept. 30th, from 7:00-9:00 pm, and will be hosted by Amy Arlin at her home in Avon. Please let Amy know if you plan to attend so she knows how many goodies to prepare. Provide relief and help communities recover from flooding and fires.
Deadly flooding and fires in southern and western parts of the US are displacing thousands and creating a financial burden on the most vulnerable.
Episcopal Relief & Development is working with church and local partners to provide help where it’s needed the most. Your swift response and compassionate gift to the Episcopal Relief & Development Disaster Fund will provide supplies to help communities in Kentucky, Virginia, Missouri, California and other places make a full and sustained recovery.

The time is coming where we must bid farewell to our beloved bishop diocesan. Join friends, colleagues, and all our siblings in Christ across Connecticut to dance, eat, celebrate and honor Bishop Ian for his 12 years of dedication to the Episcopal Church in Connecticut.
Camp Washington is located in scenic Lakeside, Connecticut, situated less than one hour from Hartford or New Haven. Complimentary buses will be available from each Region, excluding the Northwest Region, as parking is limited at Camp. (Carpooling is encouraged for those in the Northwest Region.)
When ordering tickets you will be asked if you will be taking a region bus. If so, the region, bus pick up location, departure and return times, and other pertinent information will be included within each option. This information will also be included in your Eventbrite registration confirmation email.
Invitees must be fully vaccinated to attend this event. Proof of Covid-19 vaccination is required at the door. Masks are not required to be worn; but encouraged for guests more comfortable doing so.
